More historical maps would be good, but something needs to be done where some games require a higher rank so that more people stay active.
Imo the best way to do that is make games cost gold. Simple as that.Zaktty wrote:

this would even make sense for bytro in terms of bringing money into the game! Nothing to lose here.
I would say make like the home front and 22p map free, but the rest, which require higher levels, should cost gold. This will also incentive people to save gold, and might even decrease gold spending in games (because they want to use gold to get into games etc).
That would annoy way to many people. A large portion of the player base may just up and leave, and I wouldn’t blame them. It’s hard to make a profit in gold so you’d be stuck grinding it on the rather boring inactive maps for a very long time. Just wouldn’t work out.SamPGS_17 wrote:

Nope it’s not hard to make a profit in gold. All bytro has to do is make like, HWW cost 1k gold, Antarctica cost 2k, and dominion cost 3k, or something like that. Then they can slightly increase the gold rewards (by maybe 4k for the solo top reward on HWW, 10k on Antarctica etc or smth). 2k is not a lot of gold at all, you can get this easily through achievements, watching ads, winning games. It means players go on fewer maps but are more active - and may bring in more play time for bytro, more ads watched, and yes more gold bought using real cash.Carking the 6th wrote:

I would argue it’s very easy to make a profit in gold.
I really don’t know about this. Too many players would complain about the game becoming P2W and the player base would cause a lot of backlash.
It’s not pay to win if it’s like 1k gold. It’s so easy to get gold, even if you come like solo 5th you get 1k gold ish. If ppl complain the more the better - I want the ones who go inactive all game NOT to join, they need to have an actual incentive to keep playing. Idk about you but imo it’s boring af to be 1 player vs 30 players-turned-AICarking the 6th wrote:

Who says they work just go inactive anyway? It happened as well in those 5k gold HWW’s I joined a couple times in the past.
If it’s pay to join the majority of games, and the gold reward is more, people are less likely to go inactive for a couple of reasons:Carking the 6th wrote:

1. The people who would usually go inactive would run out of gold
2. More incentive to win the game because you spent something on it so want something back.
On games you have to pay for, it’s so much more likely people stay active. You just can’t really argue against this tbh, some ppl will go inactive yeah thats inevitable, we’re tryna stop the whole map going inactive, which is what happens at the moment unfortunately.
you’re just wrong
On games you have to pay for less people will play. There is no guarantee at all of this working, these is always the risk that it will cause another problem or just not work at all. A free to play game actually requiring premium currency would throw off many new players, I know I wouldn’t have ever gotten into this game if it was like that. The game is already focused on trying to get new players, and the turnover rate is quite high. Making it higher is not exactly the he best decision.
It would prevent the high rates of players going inactive in open games. Ofc fewer people will play - that’s what I want! Games will still fill up, they’ll just have active rather than inactive players. It’s simple as thatCarking the 6th wrote:

Not gonna work for Bytro. That’s simply bad for business. Less players means your game will die out and/or you make less money. Not a good thing long term.
Game modes like Mediterranean Theater and 1944 Endgame were removed back in the 1.0 era, which means that if Bytro was to reinstate them, the maps would have to be updated to 2.0 standards. This would take a lot of time and effort, and unless Bytro sees a reasonable benefit to devoting their time to make the maps playable, they won't do it.
I wouldn’t mind waiting tho. More map possibilities would only help attract more players. It’s true that too many players go inactive and that would require another solution itself. Which is why I have an alliance and pretty much only play Ava and internals now.
the gold idea seems like a good one when I read it but like carking mentioned, it’s bad for business. So I don’t know lol
I remember playing 1944 endgame during 1.5, maybe 2.0 once. I think it’s possible to at least bring that one back…Brando Dilla wrote:
