If you take over a nation that already have researched something and is producing it it should continue when it's done it will switch to your research stats
I hope that is clear to you
I am currently playing in a game where I have taken an enemy province which is producing a cruiser which I have yet to research. The cruiser is still being built but I have to research the tech to build my own.
Surely if you capture an enemy like this then you should automatically get the tech simply by the fact that you now have the unit and hence the tech (reverse engineering).

You get their research if you have not researched that troop at all.
BUT... only for that troop. The research isn't permanently there (at least for now).AdrianTheStrategist wrote:

That is my point, you only get to build that unit but you do not get the permanent research unless you do it yourself. Surely having captured the unit you should automatically have the research added permanently
I imagine the concept is extremely likely to be abused by either people using multiple accounts or by alliances working together.
1 would focus on maxing out say tanks
While the other focuses on navy units
And all they got to do to get both is take each otherβs provinces thatβs producing it
