being cut off from supply cutting off troops from supply points
a system where HOI4 has done very well, and as in real life war is encircling troops and somehow implement a system where if your troops are encircled they fight at half strength

yes but it's at the top now so many people can see and since there adding doctrines maybe add a little bit more strategy with supply roots
