Brainstorming Ideas

  • Separate province states into thirds.
  1. Core: Permanent, 100% capacity
  2. Non-core: Permanent, 33% capacity
  3. Military Admin: 12 hours, (roughly) 14% capacity
Under military administration, a province will have extremely low morale and have limited resource production for 12 hours or more. However, since the province was just captured during wartime, there will be a 15% defense bonus for the new garrison assuming the city has makeshift fortifications used during battle and later taken down during rebuilding.

  • Lend-lease has been suggested for a while but it's a useful feature for early game if it is implemented properly with a unit cap.
  • Joint armies might be a good idea like lend-lease if implemented properly. It would be a special form of agreement, likely in a coalition to create a capped 10* unit coalition army that can be commanded by any member. It would definitely be more complex but whatever.
Ideas have their pros and cons but these were ideas crossing my mind while writing my last suggestion about advanced army management. Kind of a useless post but feel free to comment.

I like all these ideas, only question is how would reconquered cores work when captured? Would they simply revert to low morale cores like they do now or be under military administration?

I'm pretty sure they would revert immediately to core again in any scenario, and the military administration applies only to non-core provinces.

I actually really like this idea the more I think about it. Wouldn’t ruin the game, would add complexity but not too far, and much, much more realistic. Raising non-cores to 33% from 25% would also be a great addition, I think non-core territory is not important enough in the game.

Could work, sounds like a sound idea. Lets hope Bytro sees it.

Interesting since it was my least thought out idea, and the more I think about it I just don't see an effective reason. Specifically I think the military administration should last 24 hours with low resource production but higher defense bonus because it takes place directly where the fighting is. What other things would this be good for?

Well raising non-core to 33% would be pretty cool.

Isn't that what it already is?

It is 25%.

But because you start with such low moral its often a lot less for much of the game.
