They are unrealistic. Such a thing was never built in the WW2 era, it would make no sense. Plus from a game perspective, they are too overpowered and shouldn’t be used.

Sure, please bring back nuclear carriers so noobs can use all their resources building them and then leave them floating around for me to sink.
fact that : call of war is a world war 2 themed game
or you can play conflict of nations (cow's sister game) and upgrade your carrier to tier 2, congratulations!! now you can enjoy your nuclear carrier being a target practice for cruise missile and Naval patrol Aircraft.
I started this trend to bring back nuclear carriers. I remember playing when they were in game and thinking how much of a good idea they were. In the real world, they were secret technology, so i propose putting them in the secret tech tree.
We understand what you are saying, but most of us do not want the same thing.
Thats your opinion
i think its the opinion of most players who keep playing this game.
Also is the opinion of devs, as they remove them.

What's interesting about this idea is that it's purely cosmetic. CoW carriers already behave as if they were powered by nuclear reactors. They can sail around the world many times without needing to refuel. In fact, all CoW ships run on infinite nuclear power. And they shoot directed energy weapons that never run out of ammo, since they are powered by infinite nuclear power.
I suppose the same is true of ground and air units. They are all wonder weapons that never run out of fuel or ammo. It all makes sense. Just imagine different graphics.
Ok so I’m not the only one who thinks most COW maps take place in a post apocalyptic world where most of the world was destroyed and the last few nations compete for supremacy? It would explain why most maps cut out a large part of the world: it was destroyed in a certain apocalypse and only a certain part of the world remains! The countries for some reason decided to use WW2 countries and aesthetics and fight with futuristic technology for world domination! I mean who has battleships that can shoot like 100 miles into a countries Coast? This theory explains everything!!!z00mz00m wrote:

I personally think sharks and paper airplanes should be added, but the devs never listen to us. Shame, it would really positively impact gameplayMajor Fleet Admiral wrote:

Also add a unit T.Rexes with rocket launchers on their shoulders! It would be a good addition along with sharks with laser eyes! If only Bytro would listen…_Pyth0n_ wrote:

I support ships having to refuel, they could automatically refuel at the nearest port/naval base when they ran out. but unless this is implemented then I don't think we should reintroduce Nuclear Carriers.
Tbh, I like the idea of nuclear ships, but never got around to using them, and if they were to be reintroduced, then there would have to be 5 levels of atomic power, and the time frame of the game does allow for them. As the first Nuclear ships that were represented in CoW were:
1) Nuclear Submarines first appeared in 1952 [ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Nautilus_(SSN-571)
2) Nuclear Cruisers (Battleships) were built in 1957 [ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Long_Beach_(CGN-9)
3) Nuclear Carriers were the latest to be commissioned in 1958 [ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Enterprise_(CVN-65)
Unfortunately, or fortunately, Nuclear Carriers wouldn't really serve a purpose because hardly anybody researches up to the max level of carrier, battleship/cruiser, or submarine. I don't see many researching all the way to get a nuclear powered version, unless they're new players who assume that nuclear is better.
This is true, though from what I see the timeline of the game mostly ends by 1952, in the early 50’s, if you look at the elite infantry and motorized units. Though maybe certain other units are later on? But yeah it just doesn’t seem like this game would benefit from nuclear units, and I say this as someone who loves them!Zaktty wrote:

The only reason I know about the Nautilus is because of the Iron Giant and I’m proud of this fact.
