This is going to be fixed soon, next update, also, using 'add target' allows you to move units after upgrade.ryanb96 wrote:
Hi,There is probably already a thread for this, I didn't check - recently the mechanic was added to "cancel" an upgrade when you e.g. "move" troops after setting them to upgrade.... Please can this be reverted to how it was before (i.e. unable to cancel upgrades)?
Aside from making it less "skill-based" i.e. dont upgrade near the frontlines the actual cancellation is too easy, and when you are at (for me) a normal zoom, the "upgrade" icon doesnt appear (mobile) until I zoom in further.... I am just constantly moving upgrading troops and cancelling upgrades / losing the resources by mistake, wasting both the time upgrading and losing all resources.
This is absolutely critical in resource critical game modes (e.g. arms race where you are already at a HUGE manpower deficiency...) and speed... I've lost huge amounts of manpower and in one speed, over 40k rares on upgrading planes in one sum.
Yes there is a "warning" "are you sure you want to cancel" pop up on mobile... but with all the other constant (annoying) pop ups e.g. "feedback request" and "join frontline pioneers" im in the habit of hitting no/cancel etc. so this pop up is already "yes cancel" on autopilot before I realise what I've done (because e.g. didnt notice troop upgrading due to no icon/zoomed out) etc. - the overall flow here is just broken for the user.
Furthermore, where normally you might set troops to upgrade, then set them to move to somewhere such that when they finish upgrading they start moving - a time critical ability in a battle ... this is effective removed, since "moving" once the upgrade has started will cancel the upgrade.
If you don't want to revert or remove the mechanic to upgrade, can we at least have a toggle setting in settings to "turn off ability to cancel upgrades" or something?
Thanks
Cancelling Upgrades Mechanic
