No, this feature would be too overpowered. Also, cargo planes in World War II were rarely able to air lift entire infantry regiments, not to say tank brigades.

Cargo Planes
I think cargo planes should be added to the game, they can lift troops around your nation faster than on land can be researched on day 7 or day 8 and only has a couple of uses while staying a little bit on the pricier side on materials. they don't have very good protection but stay stealth while flying, and can lift 1 brigade or army at a time. I think it would be much like the aircraft carrier

Infrastructure highways pretty much solve this issue IMO, as well as naval transport upgrades and port upgrades if needing to traverse water.

@whowh, maybe you can add "cargo planes" to your list of over-suggested units? This thread must be close to the 1,000th.
