i dont really follow on how it would be better than moto inf besides in certain countries, maybe it could have certain terrain upgrades that massively buff it?

Cavalry
Before I start, I will say that I know bytro won't even look at this and it may be a stupid idea.
I propose cavalry to be a new infantry branch unit. Cavalry was used in the majority of armies even during WW2 so it would have a historical reason. I propose that it would be faster than infantry and slower than motorized. It would cost food and metal. It's food and metal cost would be higher than infantry. The damage would be that of motorized infantry.
This is a rough idea but I feel that there would be some uses in some game, not to mention that it would also add a bit more historical accuracy (not that bytro really ever cared about accuracy though)

It wouldn't be better than motorized infantry exactly, more of an alternative. It would be slower, have less health, but take metal instead of oil.
