Just a thought on Co-leaders for coalitions. Where as a leader is not able to log in as much, a co-leader who is able can accept new applicants quicker.

Yep. Moderators can add and remove players from the alliance. They may not remove the leader, or promote other players to moderator/leader, nor may they edit the alliance page (those rights are for the leader, only).

Fro coalitions, I can see a "Second-In-Command" position being useful.

At least it shows that some one is reading it

I think this is a great idea since if a leader goes inactive it can drain a coalition of its power
