In my two years of playing, I never had a game that lasted over 100 days. If you want more modern technology; go play conflict of nations.

Cold war technology
If a game goes over 50 days, then players are allowed the research cold war tech, so instead of level 5 Soviet tanks, you could research T 55 tanks that perform better than other tanks. Not only that, you get fighter jets, Helicopters, new radios and surface to air defenses. But if a game goes over 100 days, then you can research modern tech. So basically as the game progresses, the research tree grows.

Really? I have seen ones that did! I think this should be a rare easter egg. Or just if the game lasts too long

The reason this most likely won’t be implemented is because, as you said, it’s rare. This would be a lot of programming for something most players wouldn’t even use.
