Comprehensive Suggestion List

Hello everyone, and welcome to the Call of War unofficial Comprehensive Suggestion List.

The goal of this thread is to list everything that has been suggested on the forums, and categorize them based on what players want. For now, there will be a simple 3 category system, but in the future I may rank some items depending on how important they are, or the frequency of discussion.

Items in the "Positives" section have a general support from most players, and some are very likely to be added in the future. Items in the "Negatives" section have been discussed and have been found to be a feature that should not be added to Call of War. Items in the "Undecided" category have mixed reviews and probably need more discussion to determine whether the majority of players want them or not. So, without further ado...

Suggestion:

Add a button where you can easily copy a city's name. This will allow the player to paste (ctrl - V) it in the chat, and coordinate attacks.

Actually, now you can copy on-screen text, so this isn't really a needed extra feature. Just select a city name on screen (Ctrl-C), and paste elsewhere (Ctrl-V).
Doesn't seem to work for me.

Another suggestion:

Enable "delay" for bombers. When a bomber is refueling and another is ready to go, selecting both to attack the same target should make the ready bomber wait for the refueling one, instead of sending them out as they are ready.

Enable "add target" for air units. Right now I think this function makes them move instead of attack. I think it would be useful to add "target queues" to air units.

In addition, it would be nice if there was an "isolate" option for a stack of TACs so they don't combine with other stacks when they return from attack to refuel. This would make using TACs much less painful.

OK two ideas

1.coalition wars where the coalition can declare war on another coalition

2. a mobile app of call of war

Actually you already can do that, looks funny too seeing a flying plane at a complete stop in the air! :S

Actually, if your aircraft are just refueling but still on a mission, they won't recombine with other parked units unless those other units happen to finish refueling at the exact same time and they are running a duplicate mission against the same target.

Actually, it looks funny staring at the world from low orbit and seeing aircraft and tanks and soldiers. The aircraft appear to be large enough to block out the sun over entire cities. The tanks look like the size of a mountain. And the infantry are about 15 miles tall.

How's that for realism?

It seemed like such a waste to destroy an entire battle station just to eliminate one man. But Charlie knew that it was the only way to ensure the absolute and total destruction of Quasi-duck, once and for all.

Wait, what? Are you complaining that the devs made figures easy to see? I mean, the "game board"

is meant to be kind of like a war table or whatever.

Yep, it's just a game. If you want real open the front door and step outside.

I don't see a "delay" button anywhere. Is there a trick to do this?

That's the point. Sometimes I want to split up a huge stack to attack the same target for better SBDE, but I guess it's not a big deal because you can manually send them in waves with some time between them, but sometimes I find that if they land within a few seconds, they seem to group together on their next run.

Yea, I'm not sure about the exact time between sorties that is needed for them not to combine, but I'm always paranoid to let them return and attack again unless I'm watching, which is really annoying.

You can delay or force march when flying to other base, but not when attacking or patrolling. But for you question it would be better to just have a force combine option between a resting and refueling stack. It would also be handy to be able to combine patrolling planes.

That all mods are removed at once (Including squiggles) :/

@Diabolical

I was being an humorist with my earlier comment about monstrous-sized infantry and the like.

It seemed like such a waste to destroy an entire battle station just to eliminate one man. But Charlie knew that it was the only way to ensure the absolute and total destruction of Quasi-duck, once and for all.

Yes. ctrl select a unit with a delay button to add to the mixed force.

Has it been discussed to post "Gold Spent" in the newspaper perhaps? Many clan fights etc talk about not spending gold and using the honor system. Why can't the game just track it as one of the ranking systems they post in the newspaper?

Sorry if im late to the game on that one.

Thanks

I

I think the last thing Bytro wants to do is to penalize people for using gold.

They wont, but this isnt really penalizing people. Its more along the lines of just recording it, for challenges

they should at least limit the amount of gold that can be used per game. this would at least make it a level playing field for those don't sink paychecks into this game
