Hello everyone, and welcome to the Call of War unofficial Comprehensive Suggestion List.
The goal of this thread is to list everything that has been suggested on the forums, and categorize them based on what players want. For now, there will be a simple 3 category system, but in the future I may rank some items depending on how important they are, or the frequency of discussion.
Items in the "Positives" section have a general support from most players, and some are very likely to be added in the future. Items in the "Negatives" section have been discussed and have been found to be a feature that should not be added to Call of War. Items in the "Undecided" category have mixed reviews and probably need more discussion to determine whether the majority of players want them or not. So, without further ado...

Well, the candyland idea is an offshoot not meant for any company that actually specializes in the goofy stuff. It's sort of a comic relief from the ordinary...for when you just feel like having a laugh. And a candyland version of Call of War would be excruciating to put in the hands of anyone other than Bytro. They understand the mechanics. And they understand what makes for good gameplay.
And, the Railroad Tycoon's candyland was their regular game with just different sprites. The rules were identical. Their DB tables for interaction operated the same...as was their other ports....like a winter setting and a desert setting...which were just to offer alternatives to the standard look of the game. But they didn't change the feel of the game, and that's important. And that's why I wouldn't want CandyCow to fall into the hands of anyone else than Bytro.
CandyCow... neat new name.
I have a big surprise beneath this Spoiler...

Well...that wasn't really much of a surprise.
But this is a proto-logo for CandyCow:

Oh how I wish I was an artist...I'd revamp the above image with candy cane toting soldiers with gumdrop grenades and explosions that look like cotton candy...and of course the "LAND" in the logo would be "CoW".
Anyway, here's some more memes...just because I can.
This isn't a meme...it just gets the point across...maybe.

And this is how Bytro sees CoW....

It seemed like such a waste to destroy an entire battle station just to eliminate one man. But Charlie knew that it was the only way to ensure the absolute and total destruction of Quasi-duck, once and for all. The saying, "beating them into submission until payday", is just golden...pun intended. R.I.P. Snickers <3

WTH is that?

I want them in the game, would add so much diversity and bring a new element of Strategy to the game, which is badly needed.

"Comprehensive Suggestion List" is a codeword for ignorable bad suggestions list
Here is a fairly good idea which I'm sure is not original; VP limit and date limit meters for the round creator. So that rounds don't go on and on and maybe concluded before standard VP limit is reached. The current VP objectives are pretty exhausting and do not hold one in suspense as to the conclusion of the round long before the balance of power has been decided who will achieve victory. Manipulating the VP limit or round end date would add a greater sense of urgency too compete and cooperate better with other active players rather than sitting around playing footsie with computer nations. The awards would be adjusted of course and don't concern me.

I disagree, the VP Objectives are rather fair. I dont think they are an issue.

I didnt read all these suggestions so i apologize if these have already been brought up.
1) I think troops/units need an addtional tier of ranking. If i have an infantry unit that has racked up 5 kills then it should certainly be more capable than one which just came out of the barracks from training. So i would like to see them come out as recruits with whatever upgrade bonus applies. When they survive a battle with at least one kill they are no longer a recruit, they become a veteran noted with a star and give them an additional half point of offense/defense bonus. When they have accumulated say 5 or 10 kills, they should become elite represented with 2 stars and gain an additional half point of damage for offense/defense. Those players who successfully manage an efficient kill ratio and have surviving elite troops can and should receive this additional bonus.
2) Research upgrades only apply to military units at this point. I believe that an additional thread of research should exist that covers economy upgrades. Food can quickly become a problem in mid game and oil and steel later. We should be able to research bonuses that not only increase the production values of our facilities and provinces but also research improvements that speed up building times and research times.
Thank you for considering these ideas.

These are reasonable suggestions but the first one would cause a balance issue. Players that are already winning would gain more momentum and make it hard for opponents to catch up. It's a good idea but could cause imbalance. The second idea about resource research, well resources are the primary issue in the game, but there are already ways to do well in this area. Peeps just need to figure it out.

I agree with @DxC on that. When you try to add too much 'balancing' it can possibly tip the scales the other way. Remember that whatever disadvantage you have is the same for everyone.
That being said, I do like the idea of researching a few new structures or researching some improvements to existing structures. But, I've come to the conclusion that if Bytro were to want to be motivated to add these ideas, then they need a counterbalancing force. So that whatever improvements you get come with a consequence.
It's like with my idea for adding "Propaganda Ministries": They'd mitigate the effects of distance to capital in the province they are built in, but the province would need to have an added Rare Materials maintenance cost (or some other negative) that would force players to think strategically as to the importance of choosing to build the structure in a province(s).
I've got a whole 'nother thread just for new buildings proposals (meant to be much easier to follow than this list) at:

the should add a join/gather option. for when you want two units to join together before attacking a province and you can't gather them before you log off and can't get on to send the invasion in a timely fashion

That sounds to me more like an HC command to be added. For the privileged who help support the game financially.
Actually, you've just inspired me to make THIS suggestion:
This is a feature commonly found in other strategy games. So, for multiple -- yet separate -- very injured units of the exact same type (i.e., three of the level two Militias) -- and the combined health of them is less than or equal to 100% of one perfectly-healthy unit, it would be nice to be able to choose to combine them into just one slightly-injured unit.
Yes, that would indeed mitigate some of the maintenance costs of three Militias vs. just one Militia. But, being combined, they would no longer be able to count as separate units for purposes of spreading out, capturing more than one province at the same time or acting as weakened road blocks to pursuing enemies. So, with that, there's a give and take, but the benefits seem like a nice way to clean up a game filled with lots of very weak units.
Sure, separately, they could heal up to the full power of three units. But the benefit of saving on resource consumption rather than continuing to maintain three units that are a drag on your economy might make it better to combine injured units on occasion. So this feature would have several potential benefits as well as several potential disadvantages.
Note that this is different (and would need to be optional) behavior from the usual convention of combining multiple damaged units of the exact same type which just makes for a group of badly injured units where only one (the top-most unit in the stack) takes the brunt of the hits in combat.
It seemed like such a waste to destroy an entire battle station just to eliminate one man. Afraid not.

Yeah, you have to bloviate about your own winnings and hope others believe you.

How else would anyone know the big score? There are no specific winner's tables other than the individual stats of each player.
