Comprehensive Suggestion List

Hello everyone, and welcome to the Call of War unofficial Comprehensive Suggestion List.

The goal of this thread is to list everything that has been suggested on the forums, and categorize them based on what players want. For now, there will be a simple 3 category system, but in the future I may rank some items depending on how important they are, or the frequency of discussion.

Items in the "Positives" section have a general support from most players, and some are very likely to be added in the future. Items in the "Negatives" section have been discussed and have been found to be a feature that should not be added to Call of War. Items in the "Undecided" category have mixed reviews and probably need more discussion to determine whether the majority of players want them or not. So, without further ado...

We don't take money from the poor. Flat income tax rates are taking the same amount of money from everyone.

You want to remove social benefits and minimum wage.

Not you, Ocean. I never mentioned you. You're not the moron saying take money away from people with no education in a day and age when you can sue people for hiring people who haven't been trained in that job.

You obviously have still not read the JC textbook for history, I would be surprised if you read it at all. In the Industrial Revolution in Britain, there was no min wage. As a result, people would be hired as cheaply as possible. So, since people were being payed so poorly since there was no min wage, they could not afford proper housing or food. People lived in slums, rivers of waste flowed through streets. Dysentery and cholera was rife. Nearly every house in inner cities were overcrowded.

All this because there was no minimum wage, so the cheapest people were hired on salaries that barely let them buy bread.

Name one country without minimum wage laws, that does not have slum areas.

We don't take money from the poor. Flat income tax rates are taking the same amount of money from everyone.

There hasn't been a "flat" income tax in three generations. The lying liberals who violated the Constitutional rules for implementing the 14th. Amendment claimed that it would be a fair and flat tax. But within a few years of the Amendment being adopted by the States, it was then claimed that "temporarily" because of F.D.R.'s Great Depression, the "flat" tax would necessarily be "graduated" to help repair the economy.

And in over 80 years, we've NEVER repaired the economy...not fully. The government has never put us back onto a flat tax. And because of how the 14th. Amendment was instituted in the Congress, it was never a valid amendment when the States voted on it, anyway.

ABOLISH ALL INCOME TAXES AND SALES TAXES!!!!

On the federal level, we only need property taxes. And only property owners (those with a vested interest in the success of our nation) should be allowed to vote (and they must be citizens who sign a loyalty pledge to America, regardless of age, color, gender, or national origin).

If we returned to that idea (minus the age, color, gender, and origin discriminations), then the budget would be slashed and the federal government could return to it's original dictates: defense and border control, interstate and international commerce regulation, interstate and international criminal justice, foreign treaties , interstate and international communications administration, and citizenship/loyalty administration. All other powers (including welfare, education, environmental wackos (EPA-types), industrial regulations, etc.) should be returned to the States, individually.

Name one country with minimum wage laws that don't have slum areas. Minimum wage and lifelong welfare are not a successful part of a system of economics and they both drag economies down. In fact (per my writings above) economics on a national level should be restricted to interstate (and international) trade. ALL other economics should be in the hands of the States. Let each state choose whether they want to keep minimum wages and welfare. No state should have to spread their misery to other states because they've implemented terribly-high redistribution taxes.

Rescue-fare (temporary welfare) is a successful part of any system of economics and should be a part of each State's governmental duties. But keeping people on welfare long-term with no hope for a real solution keeps them from becoming successful and contributing members of society. And government doesn't generate jobs, only the private sector can grow an economy.

Like welfare, minimum wage laws hurt any economy they are implemented in. As I've experienced -- and many others have experienced -- minimum wage only hurts employees and consumers. Business owners can not be affected by it as they will either reduce employees and hours or raise prices. Consumers suffer and employees suffer or get laid off. When governments attempt to pass/raise minimum wage laws, they are trying to force business owners to voluntarily make themselves poor. What stupidity.

The only way a minimum wage law might not affect employees and customers would be to forcibly disallow price increases or employee layoffs/reduced hours. But then an employer can simply fire employees for "other" reasons. They can also choose to simply close and reopen their business as a new business with more-expensive prices or more-expensive services.

Or they could just close. It is not right to try to force ANYONE to make themselves less-rich for the sake of the poor. The Church will ensure that charity helps the indigent (unless the society has abandoned the Church (i.e., less than 12% of the British population attends Church services and even less profess to be born-again)). Of course, if people abandon the Church, they are less likely to be charitable. But forced economic redistribution by taxation is no charity and it never works. However, Church-led charities are usually very successful unless (as mentioned) the Church loses its membership.

Thank you, atheists, for trying to doom the poor. Because you hate faithful Christians so much, you would have society abandon God and thus abandon Christian charity...which is the core source of the vast majority of charitable contributions of the past 2000 years.

It seemed like such a waste to destroy an entire battle station just to eliminate one man. But Charlie knew that it was the only way to ensure the absolute and total destruction of Quasi-duck, once and for all.
The saying, "beating them into submission until payday", is just golden...pun intended.
