Comprehensive Suggestion List

Hello everyone, and welcome to the Call of War unofficial Comprehensive Suggestion List.

The goal of this thread is to list everything that has been suggested on the forums, and categorize them based on what players want. For now, there will be a simple 3 category system, but in the future I may rank some items depending on how important they are, or the frequency of discussion.

Items in the "Positives" section have a general support from most players, and some are very likely to be added in the future. Items in the "Negatives" section have been discussed and have been found to be a feature that should not be added to Call of War. Items in the "Undecided" category have mixed reviews and probably need more discussion to determine whether the majority of players want them or not. So, without further ado...

Yep! It does.

May we please have a way to sort the province list by morale?

It seemed like such a waste to destroy an entire battle station just to eliminate one man. But Charlie knew that it was the only way to ensure the absolute and total destruction of Quasi-duck, once and for all.

I have suggested that many times and the overwhelming majority of Call of War players want it.

EVERYBODY wants it.

I'm not sure what utility it would have...

Bytro recently adjusted the distance-to-capital morale penalty...making it more noticeable. Now, if you have a far-flung empire spanning across northern Europe and America, but your principle enemy has the other half of Europe and Africa, your game is long from over. So you need every bit of production you can muster to overwhelm them in the long game. This means maxing out production from Louisville, USA to Perm, USSR. And if your capital is in Washington, then Perm is going to need a level 5 fortress combined with a Level 3 Infrastructure and Level 5 Factory just to eek out a bare minimum of Rare Materials to help fund your next nuclear missile.

Since the morale hit can seriously reduce production, I need to be able to prioritize which provinces need fortresses built to help raise up that morale. Also, this can show you where you haven't been recovering fast enough from older provincial captures. And this can also show where enemy spies might be flooding one or more of your provinces with tons of economic spies to sabotage production and morale in preparation for an invasion.

As mentioned previously by comrade dave, this feature is wanted by "EVERYBODY". But these listed reasons should satisfy even the biggest skeptics like Butter Ball Turkey...I mean Bill.

This was already here, they just shortened the distance via air travel. Did you not know this?

You're a noob who doesn't seem to understand the game. I've had multiple far flung empires with no problems and I did not have to build a load of crap or move my capital.

Thanks for that useless piece of trash... just kidding. Didn't know they'd adjusted it. You convinced me.

Can we have aircraft carriers?

When they're ready we can.

Bill, the community skill level is very low at this point in development. You could have terrible strategy and not play half the time and still win a game easily. Mistakes like this don't effect gameplay because others don't take advantage of it.

I disagree.

If you consider playing dozens of matches across several months 'noob' status, then I'm a noob.

I do know strategy and the RECENT changes have actually backfired because, though the distance is shortened by the as-the-bird-flies calculation (which I did read), they have apparently increased the penalty per distance. Even my very first far-flung empires that I made soon after I first started playing had much better morale than the ones I've made since the most recent update. I play enough and pay attention enough to notice these things.

And I've never moved my capital even when it might make sense for others to do so. My strategy is better. And building lots of stuff is just the kind of person I am. I'm a builder type of strategist. My kind have been targeted for swift destruction by the "Let's build a million Zurglings" type of players for many years now. I learned how to defeat them with my style long ago. This game is no different. So bring it on.

Look, if this feature gives you problems you must really suck at the game. This is the first time that I can remember of people complaining about the distance to the capital. So obviously it is only a problem to you.

Well, @Diabolical, Bill has a point. If it wasn't for you I'd have never known, because it didn't affect me in any way.
