sounds like a bug and that it's acting as if the planes were attacking like normal, have you tried submitting a bug report to the devs? you an do it in game

Convoys defeat everything?
So ive noticed lately everytime I take a province that has planes an they go back to convoys they seem to easily destroy any unit now theres a stack of 14 convoy tac bombers that have been murdering everything that goes to them as they only stay in a convoy. Is this meant to be in the game or is this a bug

It is a bug it happened to me too I destroyed an enemy aircraft carrier and the planes fell into the water but were still able to attack my ships and my ships weren’t able to attack the planes....even though the planes were a convoy in the water

Yes this is a bug, I have noticed that the convoys in 1.5 (i'm not sure about the old version) are retaining the stat's of the unit despite being in convoy form (I had a convoy that met an enemy convoy and it dealt damage as if it was the unit not the convoy so have seen it happen outside the +/- 20%). Bit of if-then code missing to convert the unit stat's over I assume.

That shouldnt happen, that convoys retain 100% of the fighting stats.
Keep in mind that also convoys have small fighting stats, so when like 10 of them together they can still defeat a single unit. Think of it as the soldiers in the convoys being lightly armed.

That definitely happens. I’ve seen a few naval bombers on a aircraft carrier. Then the carrier was destroyed by subs and then the bombers fell into the ocean and turned into convoys, but they destroyed 4 subs in the ocean, and there was only like 2 convoys.freezy wrote:

I also had seen captured an airfield an the planes thee turned into the truck convoy which the convoy stack was 10 but they took out 2 commandos and 2 tanks

Thats a different thing though. Those convoys shouldnt retain their naval bomber stats. But they will still defeat subs even with their convoy stats because currently subs dont do damage to land units, while land units do damage to subs (to prevent infinite battles). We will probably also give subs slight damage values vs. land units to prevent problems like that if they happen due to bugs.RiverWolf74 wrote:

of course they should become ship convoys instead of land convoys in the first place.
Convoy trucks have 10 HP and deal 0.8 damage to land units. So it is possible that alot of them defeat small numbers of regular combat units, depending on their level and how damaged they were already.General Tarkov wrote:

If you have any real example where a convoy truck does alooot more damage with a single attack, let me know (with screenshot of the fighting armies would be nice), otherwise I wont consider this a bug.

They became a land convoy but it was in the middle of the ocean??? And it destroyed my sub.

can confirm this guy In my game is steam rolling me with just convoys of planes there not even flying yet there destroying every unit I throw at them.
