Core Provinces/Government Idea

My apologies if this has been posted previously, I did my best to search for this topic before posting this thread. Anyways I did see some people say the 100 player map should be cut down to 50 players so there are more core territories. I propose a different idea. I think every continent or region should have a common culture. For example if I play as California and I conquer Colorado the provinces of that former country could become my core provinces after a set number of days and other conditions. Yes I do understand that prior to WWII France and Germany have distinctly different cultures, however they were always considered to be Western European and were more similar than the Eastern European or Asian countries. Some other conditions for this assimilation is a complete destruction of the country (all core provinces conquered, by you or another country), being at war with fewer than 2 or 3 countries or some other condition(s).

Another idea to help with the resource production would be to have a one time building that functions similar to a capital. It could be called Puppet Capital or something else. Basically it would function as a regional capital and it would cut the distance and resource costs of provinces away from your capital. In order to function it would have to be garrisoned by a set number of troops.

I would love to hear comments on these ideas. Thank you for reading!

Both suggestions have been mentioned numerous times.

Regarding your first proposition. There is no need for that. Build some infrastructure, factories, harbours and fortifications in resource producing provinces.

The second one can be usefull IMO. Not for economy boost, but to help maintain an acceptable morale in provinces far from your capital to prevent uprisings the moment numerous players declare war on you.
