@freezy could you explain us why is it like that instead of like S1914?
thank you
I want to play a certain country, I cant see if its already occupied or not unless I join? When I came to the country selection it was taken already, and now I would just like to wait for the next opportunity...
But I can't even leave the round (I never selected any country yet), x doesn't work (unresponsive) and there is no "cancel" button.
There is no option to wiew a game without joining, no option to leave a round, even if it hasn't started yet, please change that it's simply stupid if not it's unconvenient at least.
You don't want another inactive player slot in a game do you?
Besides if I just wanted to see how a map looks like (ie provinces layout in general, not a specific game), how do I even do that!?
It was not like that when I played Supremacy 1914. Who and why made those decisions ?

Ok, so after 1 hour you are out if you never selected a country, as I just found out.
But still, I can't see a map without entering the game,
and I have to "start" each round just to see which countries are still free to take.
Also, being able to watch rounds that we don't actually play can be fun too.
So the main point of this suggestion/criticism still stays, because automatic kick after 1 hour of not selecting a country, besides not being the most elegant solution, doesn't solve the entire issue.
P.S. I had to surf Google and YouTube to actually see how maps look like.
Did I miss something or is there really no such option ingame
If you don't select a country, the software will automatically kick you after an hour or two.Tovarish Tito wrote:

That said, there should be a cancel button, as well as the ability to look at the game map in order to select a country. I've played the 22-player European map almost 10 times, and I still can't remember the geography and disposition of resources for every country on the map. I would say that's it is virtually impossible to do so for the 50- and 100-player maps.
I've just about memorized the 50 player pacific conquest map and after playing the 100 player map many times, It kind of becomes engrained in the mind. I have no life
