Disband Units

This has been said before, and it is being said again. We should be able to disband units. At day change a bunch of provinces rebelled and I got some crappy militia, it is going to take more than 5 days just to get a rallying point so I can kill it. That is only moving from Canada to Central America. We need to be able to disband units.

Find somebody to sell it to.

Or park it in the middle of the ocean as a lookout.

I was using it this match, but I certainly didn't build it. I went inactive because XXXXX ran over my nation, after I signed a NAP with him, with XXXX units. When I came back three days later half my nation was gone and XXXXX was inactive and I had a load of militia built by the AI so I had to use it. Luckily they all died fairly fast, but it was kinda handy.

My tactical air wing, a.k.a. the "Angry Birds," likes militia too.

That's why I feed them a steady diet of militia whenever they are freshly available.

I don't believe in producing and/or using any in-game unit type as cannon fodder, and that includes militia in particular. They're really only good for defending forest and hills provinces where they receive the +75% strength bonus, but they still usually make lousy garrison/occupation troops because their strength points are too low to prevent rebellions, and there are much higher priority unit types to work into my 24/7 research schedule.

In-game militia units serve several valid purposes, but they really don't fit in my overall game strategy.

What's the point though, I wouldn't bother. Needless drain on MP and grain imo.

Also are you staff under orders to bring this thread OT or what? Lol.

Build your economy correctly and you won't have to worry about the drain ;)

Those are called spies around here lol.

True tho id still like to see some Saboteur or freedom fighter units blow the crap out of some roads

and the advancing enemy brought to a halt and have to repair them.

How would they work though. They need to either get past the frontlines, meaning you may as well send an actual unit, or you can produce them on enemy territory which is... pretty stupid for a game.

Yeah. That's the same strategy that Stalin's boys used to clear minefields.

Not really mr duck how many roads did french freedom fighters blow up in france?

The strategy could be used within your own nation if you are being over run.

Interesting.

Sounds like you want more of a Scorched Earth kinda thing, since you are blowing up your own land.

Also, you may think it is a good idea, until you play against a player using their mothers purse and you can't move your troops.

I see duck everyday. But not on game chat. Do you go by another name?

Interesting community,
