I've always wondered why there isn't any economic research in this game.
I am thinking of research which increases the production rates of certain resources.
Due to the time it takes to research in this game you have to be very careful in what you choose to research as you cannot know everything, especially mid game.
So I feel that having economic research wouldn't distrupt the game too much as you will still have to choose to increase a resource production rate or increase the strength of certain units.
the economic part of this game is very simple and easy to manage because of its high production rates, economic search would do nothing but improving it more? NWE has economic researches as they have some other options for provinces and so, but they haven't brought it to CoW. don't take me wrong, i'd love economic researches but not just to improve resource production rates as it already is too high in my opinion
