Sounds cool but I'm just thinking about implementation. Call of war currently has pre set roads that connect between provinces, these routes often are very straight and only cross over at key junctions. This would make encirclement extremely slow and a pain in the behind to micro manage as you will have to micro manage troops to attack from behind with rally points. Also I think encirclement seems to be more of minor feature rather than a major feature, ie it's already taken into account with unit statistics, ie light tanks able to do better offensive damage against infantry, possibly because light tanks are faster and more nimble and able to encircle and trap infantry.
Encirclement/Supply Lines
There should be a feature that when the further you away you get from a core province/annexed province (in relation to to my annexation idea post) the slower the troops move and eventually then they will begin to lose condition over time once the unit is far enough into enemy territory. There should also be supply line researches to upgrade the distances and things.
Once a unit is encircled, the unit should move slower, lose morale, decrease condition over time, and possibly do less damage. Encirclement has been an important tactic in WW2 and in many other wars, it would make the game more skill-based and allow for smaller forces to have more of a chance against larger ones, as encirclement did in many wars.

It would be very difficult to implement into the game. But I think that since the set roads are a thing, then supply lines would have to go along those set roads and if one road is blocked, then it would have to take a different route, causing more problems with the units.Nadda wrote:

Yeah it may be a little difficult to implement but I like the idea that the "set roads" will be the supply lines, if they get blocked, the troops will start to suffer. This also prevents people from bulldozing through your territory with one stack and have no plan whatsoever following that.
Hopefully these get implemented in the future.
