Please create monthly events that are built around buying in and risking gold for chances to win large amounts of gold.

Make the game private with 500-1500 gold buy in. This will limit who joins and will ensure you get a more serious group of players.

Find a cool map perhaps Antarctica or a better arena type map. Islands surrounding a couple large land mass locations would be interesting. Make it ideal for Naval and Air warfare.

*Place tech unlocks around the map. I am talking gold star maxed out tech in locations around the map.

*Max 3 team member sized coalitions.

*Make the game viewable from the front page. Make a big deal about it. Perhaps have a poll that lets players vote on who gets care packages. These could be like 5 light tanks. These would be intended to be boosts that help but don's guarantee wins.

*Have mid game items that players can buy with gold that unlock super weapons. Pay gold for a nuke for example. Secret Agents would be interesting too. Drop them in like commandos have them wreck morale and buildings. Perhaps advanced bombers. Maybe pay gold for ghost armies. Make it look like there are 5 artillery stacked when they are simply fake and just there to soak up enemy aggression.

Im just trying to come up with something to draw in gold players that is entertaining without feeling so underhanded. If we are all playing an arena and we are playing for large purses of gold paid for by other players feels like a more exciting win win for me.
