Is there any thought being given to experience points for veteran units?

Though I cannot imagine this feature being added anytime soon (like, years maybe) I am in support of it.
I think having units gain experience the most battles they win could be worked out well.

i don't see it as something "worth it" as you can't retreat from the battle

yeah it wouldn't cause any major changes to the game as most units would't be able to accumulate alot of exp.
It'd probably work best for defending units

It would probably work pretty well for my tactical bomber wing (a.k.a. the "Angry Birds"), but I don't think most players want to make TBs any stronger than they already are.

What would work for me is +5% to attack/defense stats per battle lived through, but also raise the gold cost to raise morale the 10%.

yeah.... that is a great point
unit exp could really make TB's and arty's too overpowered

But you have AA against TB's and Tanks against Arty, thats the equalizer.

Tanks have to actually engage in close combat. The game mechanic does not allow for a retreat once a unit has engaged. This means that tanks will not survive as many battles as artillery. Artillery will tend to gain experience with less risk than Tanks.
The same problem will happen with AA guns. They are essentially a defensive weapon. If the attacker (airplane) is taking losses, it can (and will) disengage. If the AA gun is taking loses, it can not retreat from the battle. Again airplanes will tend to gain experience with less risk than AA guns.
Not mentioned above is a similar problem with Submarines. Using HC fire control options, a submarine has a lot of options to leave a losing battle. The countering unit, Destroyers does not have the same ability to leave a battle.
I do like the idea of battle history and experience benefits for units however, it must be done very carefully to avoid an over powering situation. Perhaps limiting it to only certain unit types or small percentages of each unit type would reduce this risk.

When you click a unit you should be able to see the exact time it was produced (e.g. Day 1 10:36am) so you can see the longest serving troops in your Military heh.

True. It also lists the number of enemy units defeated.
Of course, the whole thing becomes hopelessly confused when you combine multiple units of the same type into the same stack, when they will take a single unit number, and then again when you separate the stack into its individual constituent units and they are automatically renumbered in a manner that has absolutely nothing to do with their original unit numbers assigned when they were produced.
