Experience over quantity

Hello,

This will be my first message in this forum. First of all sorry for my english, but I've decided post here due to the community is bigger (I guess) than spanish one. Now, let's talk about my idea.

In another game, there is one thing about troops, if you fight with them against enemies and you defeat them with your units, your unit will recive experience, this experience will make your unit better in comparision with others of the same level, weapons and so on.

Would be nice to implement this kind of thing in this game, because right now is possible to see how many units your unit has killed, but what more? what is the advantage of have a warship with almost 50 victims if it doesnt improve his quallity? or skills of battle?

The game will become more interesting, the people will think more about attack and try to safe trops and not only create and send to the war units with no order neither logic.

Thank you in Advance. :tumbleweed:

Hey DyerMaker,

welcome to the English forum!

This idea has been discussed several times in the past. It was decided it was difficult in several respect, both technical, functional (what if an experienced and inexperienced merge?), and don't have a clear added value to the game. So it is on a low-burner to say the least!

I understand your point, but in this case, would be nice if we think one way to reward the people of small nations or players who play better and use better strategy but because they are not USSR, EEUU, Germany, etc. they hardly can fight and be good rivals.

Of course if you are good player you can win with small country, but when 2 players are really good, one have URSS and other Sweeden or Finland is a litle bit hard.

For me the point is try to find one way to reward skills of people, because has no sense when a guy create 4 light tanks and 8 antitanks and attack just making a line and he destroy all the armies in front.

Most maps have equal/powered countries+ exceptions are the 25p map historical and 10p Blitzkrieg maps. Players that want a real challenge can play smaller nations on those maps, those that want an equal playing field can join any of the others. The challenge/type players already have a lot of tools to outperform the big nations+ in fact I won a 25p player map with Tibet and you will find many players here that have done something similar.

If we were to add an experience bonus to armies, it should start low like +0.1% bonus for every unit killed with the specific unit, but whatever the bonus is, it should have some limit to it. The last thing you want to allow is a unit 100x better than the original.
