I like the idea, it would have to have the upkeep (if it should have one) matched up to the consumption/production for the Barracks buildings.

This is a building I quite like in 30K. They have a building called, yes, a farm, which, you guessed it, produces more grain. I think it would be a great building to have because of all the resources in the game, grain seems to give the most trouble. You can build it any province. It would have a small hat(manpower for those of you who don't know) cost and would cost 2.5k goods, 2.5k steel and 500 oil to build initially. To build levels one and two the cost of a lvl 1 farm will be halved.
Consumption/production will match lvl 1-3 barracks, depending on the lvl of the farm(1-3).
Posted in S&C for sure this time.

A lvl 1 or lvl 3 barracks? I think lvl 3.
Let's make it level 2. Or give it three levels and match it to the different levels of barracks.
That is a good idea.
Thanks. Coming from you it's a rarity.
I feel that this is amazing idea mainly because in my game now I am -1,400 food an hr. Also it just makes sense.
Good idea. factories can only process raw materials not produce them, and farms make more sense.

I don't like it. I always assumed there were already farms everywhere, and they just weren't shown.
Then why doesn't every province produce grain?GreatbigHippo wrote:

What if I told you...
Every province DOES produce grain.
Obviously all the grain in your country doesn't go to your army. Your people need to eat, too, which would explain why those provinces don't count as grain your army can consume.
Lies! If I can't see it then it isn't there!GreatbigHippo wrote:

Farms would allow gold buyers to boost food for the over produced troops that they built. On day 40 you could gold some heavy tanks and then build farms to support that, and throw out the balance. As the game is now, when you own 3/4 of the map and are trying to reach the final VP's to win, it is a challenge (well for me, because I am still learning the end game) and I think the farm would cheapen or make it a longer war of attrition then it needs to be.
