Can’t speak for the general community (I’ve only been playing 2.0 for two months) but the old railroad gun had about 9 attack vs. heavy armor right? So the only way it would be really effective ranged is if you had stacks of 10 of them. With support units too I assume. And what are these “bog stacks”?

Regrading the new RRG update, this is TRASH and TOTALLY WORTHLESS.
NOBODY ASKED FOR THIS UPDATE. It makes RRG more expensive, less dominant, and is practically ENCOURAGING players to use melee and air combat more. Ranged combat is always preferred by veterans because you give damage without taking it. And since RRG has the longest range, they are the most ideal unit for this strategy.
Case in point, this update is STUPID and I hope they remove it. RRG 'bog' stacks with MT and AA (or some variation) are used by almost every experienced player I know. 90% OF VETERANS USE THIS STRATEGY AND NOW THEY'RE PISSED OFF.

Games change, people need to adapt. Strategy isn't just doing the same thing over and over again. Sure, it might be annoying, but at least Bytro's doing something.

That's exactly why it needed to be changed. Don't you even understand that your post actually SUPPORTS this change?Ustache22 wrote:

This reads as "I didn't want the meta that everyone used to change."
If this is your opinion, you probably haven’t been paying attention.Ustache22 wrote:

I think this is one of Bytro’s better decisions.
This is a WWII strategy game and RRGs played practically no role whatsoever in that war. They shouldn’t be the dominant unit.
