fortifications and defences

i have an idea for new fortifications for provinces. i will be proposing improvments for the already existing fortifications as with more new types of defences. first, the improvements on the fortification are that they would provide a defences boost too defending troops. the way it will do it is by subtracting an amount of percentage of damage taken by the troops defending there. each level will include an increase of this percentage. level 1 would start at 20%, for exaple: defending troops take 20% less damage from attacking enemies. each level would increase this percent by 10%, resulting in the max at level 5 being 60% less damage. i reall would like this feature think it makes alot of sense. second, i would like to see coastal naval cannons, this is a fortification that will add coastal defences to the province that has the range of a battleship, the cannons where often the same as battleship cannons so this would make sense. these guns can only attack ships and the damage increases with each level, the damage each level would be the same as a crusier.once the troops have finally loaded on the province the cannons would stop firing. this would basically act as a permanent artillery in the province for the coast and the sea. third is a normal artillery forifacation for provinces, it would have the same damage as normal artillery with each level but the range will cover the entire province with a little bit larger range to cover just abit more than the province so you could defend against troops getting close to the border(not to far into other provinces though).the fourth and last would be air defences in the province. when planes attack they would be hit just like normal aa. it would have the same damage as normal aa. the stats could change acordingly to the devs likes and everyone please give me your opinion good or bad(please dont be that mean) thanks

New types of Defense? During the second world war basically the defense of a province consisted of the fortifications, this suggestion is unnecessary.

Do you understand that this is what forts do now, just with different numbers? What do you want to change?

Not sure about this things. I don't like how they sound. Perhaps if they would be easily destroyed, by some kind of bombardment, because they shouldn't be able to win wars.

How is this relevant to the thread? This is not history lesson, but a suggestion to the game. If you say that it is unnecessary, provide some valid argument for that, not some history notes (which I don't know if they are true, but that does not really matter).

What he said wasn't true anyway, their are a lot of forts and defenses more than just a concrete bunker.

As Paramunac said forts already reduce damage starting at 38% and going to 75%. This is a huge bonus as it is. Your other suggestions for air and artillery defense would make defense too easy and lazy. The ability to create these defenses are already there but it requires dynamic planning and resource management.

Creating more types of Defense is meaningless, except create barricades.

The barricades were used as a form of Defense especially in the Balkans during World War II and were especially effective.

Mate, have you heard of a thing called a tank? Basically a mobile bunker. Good for defense.

Quasi, I am referring to the defense in the provinces.

How can you write two completely oposite things in one post with such ease?

Paramunac.

The fortifications during the second world war were primarily the only defense in the provinces. The barricades were used especially in the Balkans.

Well, if there is only one defensive structure used in the game, then of course it was the only structure used in WWII....

The Balkans is like, a massive area and had a lot of fighting in WWII. What exactly defines these "barricades" anyway?

The barricades were species of fortifications but with less resistance.

Yeah, these were kinda built everywhere....

The barricades were easily destroyed.

That is like, totally irrelevant.

Then, what do you mean with this commentary?

You said they were only in the Balkans, which was wrong.
