Game retirement

Does anybody know if it is at all possible to just 'retire' from a game. I entered 2 Europe Clash of Nations games 2 weeks ago. It was when someone went mad and was creating umpteen new games willy-nilly. Since the very start I was the only player in both games. Due to the way the game is weighted, I can see I am never going to be able to win this, as it is me against everyone else. In fact everyone else seems to have Right of Way with each other as well. it's just a matter of time before all the other AI nations become disgruntled with me for daring to attack someone else, or even when I have war declared on me it seems to upset them as well. I am way out in the lead with VP's, but I can't kill off the nations fast enough.

So after 2 weeks of playing. I have never received a message inviting me to retire the game even though i am the only human player. We are at day 14, So i would assume after this day, the game no longer counts towards ranking points. There is no point in continuing. I will lose in the end, only a matter of time, in each game.

So i will just walk away and go awol to end the game. But is there any other way to end the game sooner?

You can retire but it has to be 3 players at least or less. If the game has more than 3 active players the retirement option isn't available so in the meantime get more land and make sure to be active everyday if you want to retire. If you're lucky to be the last active player then you can retire which will end the game. If you have one or 2 players who don't want to retire you will have to think of something else. You can go awol if you want (we call that inactive here) but it's not wise. If you do go awol is not the best option because other players may go after your land and you cannot retire if you been defeated so either you can archive the game you have atm and find a new one or you can stay in the game and be active everyday until you are the last person standing. Anyways i wish you good luck.

There's only me in the game, and has only ever been me in the game. Nobody else ever joined the game. So I've got 250 ish points, but i'm never going to get to 500 to win the game. I'm at war with just about every other nation- all AI's. But even though I'm the only person in the game, I've never seen an option in the Newspaper to offer the chance to end the game.

Ok so go the today’s newspaper and scroll to the very bottom of the newspaper and you should see a button that says retire.

No there isnt. It may only be triggered when the number of people drops to 3. but In this case it never went above 1.

What is the game number?

Also is this an event?

If it is an event those don't have the retire feature enabled.

he said europe clash of nations

There are 2 game numbers- 3236161 and 3238220. Both are europe clash of nations. Doesnt really work with 1 player. I thought it would be a doddle but it's the opposite.

D@mn those AI!

But words are things, and a small drop of ink,
Falling like dew, upon a thought, produces
That which makes thousands, perhaps millions, think.

did you wait for the day to change

We are on day 15 on both games. I have been the sole player throughout. So on every day change you would think there would be an option to retire. Or would there? But there hasn't. This is what I am asking, does it only kick in after so many days -i.e beyond day 15? Or as i suggested previously, does it need more that 3 people to join and then only offers retirement when the number of players falls down to 3. is that when it triggers?

Retirement is only available when it is 3 players.

No it isn't. It's available when it's 1, 2 or 3 players

Yeah it’s available IF the 3 players to 2 players are in the same coalition.

If I pressed retire now, and Im the sole player in this round, would the game end immediately or end till next day change?

Immediately
