Give commandos stealth while at sea.

now this will make commandos rather dangerous.

Imagine surprise landing at your costal capital!

Also add stealth +1 level for each level of upgrade.

This would be interesting. The Stealth element needs some rework. Whenever I use commandos it feels like they always get spotted. There should be an infiltrate button for them to not engage and remain hidden or something. They could also move independent of the trails on the map. (Probably a coding nightmare though)

stealth would overall be more useful if there were less units that could combat it.

I would probably talk about taking it off of motorized infantry. From a gameplay standpoint, motorized infantry is already pretty baller even without scout levels. From a realism standpoint, there's no reason motorized infantry would have any more reconnaissance power than any other unit.

Probably doesn't need to be on the interceptor, either. Fighter aircraft blast past at 300 miles an hour, and regularly committed friendly fire. Clearly, expecting them to identify a small unit of specially trained stealth infantry is stretching it.

I would then rename the Armored Car to Reconnaissance Battalion or the like. Makes armored cars more valuable, makes stealth units more valuable.

Why make already powerful armored cars even better?

I don't think the game should force players to use a single unit for specific roles. It's good to have options.

Stealth seems fine, the problem is with commandos specifically. They just need the +2 stealth level boost that has been talked about before so they can keep up with scout unit levels.

Commando's are stealthed...the ships carrying them are not....common sense

It's not really a direct buff to armored cars as much as it is an overall reduction to the number of things with the scout ability. From a gameplay and setting point of view, there's really no reason that motorized infantry and the interceptor should have scout.

Mot infantry is already a worse unit, and planes were used as Reconnaissance all the time! Not needed.

I have to disagree about motorized infantry being a worse unit. And while planes were used as recon, those were specialized planes designed specifically for the task. And even then, they weren't as reliable as units on the ground for detecting camouflaged units.

Trust me, I used to think they were better but they are worse in almost every way. Their health is not good enough for a fighting force, and ranged units should do most of that anyway, they have the same speed and ability with a worse unit type, just not worth it. Nerfing them would basically end their existence as any sort of alternative to cars.

Why? Units load up on a transport ship which is a completely different unit. This is why I have suggested before a dedicated landing unit but then it was regarded as a bad idea. Now we can just have some OP unit that makes the game into a circus?

convert commandos to subs when they go to sea on there own not with other units, that would make them stealth at sea
