Give us the option to retreat when in battle

IN CoN (Conflict of Nations) you have the option to retreat when in a fight. This can basically copy what CoN (or have new things that it does) Can you also help me suggest new things if this does get added? I don't see any multi-account problems with this.

My father once said this: “If you don’t know anything, don’t assume you know and don’t say anything you don’t know is true”
I always got annoyed when he said that, but to be honest he’s kinda right if you think about it

This is smart. I wonder why it's not in CoW yet... it would fit well.

Same here. I'm surprised it isn't in the game.

Was just thinking about this a day or two ago! Great idea.

Thinking of it, it seems crazy annoying when it comes to gameplay, but it just makes sense. @Bytro Labs please add.

Yeah, this is needed. It will be helpful.

Good idea...except for one thing....

Complete disengagement from battle is impossible....so one of 2 things would have to be done...

Either, one unit must remain to hold the line while the rest run.

Or, Full disengagement BUT the enemy gets one extra hit on the retreating stack without return fire.

If you look at the second image, that’s exactly what happens.

It says it right in the picture, "Retreating units automatically lose a substantial amount of their hit points!"

So I can't read....sue me

You may suggest implementing a retreat button that becomes available only after a certain duration of engagement in battle or when specific conditions are met. This can add strategic depth to the game and enhance the overall player experience. Truck Repair Shops

Allow the units with more speed to disengage or retreat 2 inf units run into an AC the Ac could Retreat but the Inf could not

All units should be allowed to disengage, why not? If the retreating unit was slower than the attacker youd be overwhelmed anyway. It is what happens. Also what about the surrender option?

If this game was more realistically duplicating real warfare recon by AC, LT and Mot Inf units should be allowed the option of retreating from slower units although I have to wonder about what would be more likely, able to retreat or not, if the defender was AT, SPAT or where specialized infantry such as Paras or Commandos are located in hill, mountain or forest terrain? Or urban? Making it more interesting, should a Para or Commando have the same ability to retreat from any defender while in urban, forest, hill or mountain terrain?

Yes, this is a good idea. I dont see why it would be so hard for Bytro to integrate this into CoW. Maybe they could improve it further by making the number of hitpoints lost be subject to the speed of the retreating unit.

It would make encireling the enemy even more important.

We need a retreat mechanic!

Is that a new game interface? How do I change it?
