Goa

A small part of the Indian coast was controlled by Portugal (also small islands and territories by France and Portugal not needed becuz too small). So if you can add Hong Kong and even Macau then why not Goa? Goa was Portuguese since the medical times till the 60's .

Shouldnt this thread be closed since it just devolved to squabbles unrelated to Goa or smth?

On this topic: the most intuitive argument against the implementation of Goa is that it is a colony of neutral power that did basically nothing.

The most intuitive argument for Goa is that it's a relatively large colony compared to macau and hong kong.

There can be three ways to implement Goa:

City province: if mainland loses capital can be shifted to Goa as it is far from european dangers, and units can be produced to protect goa.

Rural province with resource: a resource province which can help the portugese war machine (if it has one) though it can easily be conquered by India.

Rural province: a rural province just there for historicity, attacking this can get popularity lowered and entirety of Portugal at war with you.

I agree with Karl I don't think adding Goa would make much difference because even if it is a city why would portugal ( In a player) would ever build troops there it is cut off from its main land and if it ois a city British Raj would probably look at taking, also yoohoo my first post in another thread an I am able to post now !

I am Portuguese and I was born in Goa. And my opinion on this is, if this is added it should be a province called "Panjim". And Goa is not at all urban, nor produces a specific resource, so it should just be a normal province. And I just happen to find this.
