Goa

During WW2, Goa was a Portuguese colony on the coast of western India, not far from the city of Pune.

However, there is no representation of this colony in HWW, which is odd, given that the HWW gamemode is supposed to feature accurate borders of 1939.

I suggest that a Goa province should be added. It doesn't have to be a city, but there should be something.

Why would any African country want persistent Portuguese rule in the 1970s, well after most other African colonies had been given independence? No wonder why they turned to communist regimes for assistance.

And - there’s no way that Portugal (a nation of only 7 million people at the time) could have possibly militarily prevented the African countries Angola and Mozambique’s (which combined had 10x the population of Portugal at the time) from getting their independence?

Exactly! They could not have won, and no one except the Portuguese government and some fanatics wanted to. Fact is Africans did not want to be ruled by Europe, and if they wanted independence they were going to get it.

Well, they did win, but then the revolution happened.

As I said, if Saviour resigned earlier, he would have been viewed more favourable.

As for now, you are reading socialist Costa articles.

They didn’t? The countries were still fighting and would have won eventually. Even if they completely crushed that revolution it would rise again and win.

I have multiple sources, from different places. Saying they are all biased is incorrect and suspicious.

At the cost of 60k lives and another revolt happening even IF and that’s a huge IF they somehow won against a force it would just end up revolting again and eventually would win. It’s impossible to hold down a larger country overseas who doesn’t want you forever.

I agree with you Antonio de Oliveira Salazar was a fascist dictator. He was ruthless to Africans and his own people.

The estado novo regime hurt the lives of the Portuguese people, the damaged still hasn't been repaired.

I also agree that Panjimians are happy with the Republic of India, and they were also happy during the invasion.
