Gold abuse
I just joined a battle and after few hours, one has lvl3 ships, lvl2 artys, lvl 3 planes, lvl3 infantry... Worth about a hundred hours of research!
This is pathetic, gold usage should be limited on the first days. And if you consider this normal, fuck it, i will never put a cent in this pay2win crap.

But he's right, it has gotten out of control.
There's a guy spamming gold on the 2nd day of a 22 player Europe map, the smallest map in COW.
This only used to happen on "special events" where one or two guys would inevitable lose their (doodoo) because they just had to win, at any cost. Now it's normal on all maps. Even on the tiny starter map that nobody used to get excited about. The safe heaven map.

I have seen less whales recently. They were extremely common six months ago or so, much less so now. Could be just personal luck though.

Last time I tried, there was a wolf pack waiting. They all sent resources to one guy, who exploited the Allies advantage in research and build speed to build a mega-army. He sped things up here and there with a bit of gold. The game was essentially decided by day 6.

That's why I stick to the HWW, I enjoy the inherent imbalance, so I'm not disappointed when my 'competitive games' on 100player get affected by gold use.

Exactly why I love that gamemode too. Sometimes it gets boring though, and it takes at least 20 days unless you are a major power. Also inactivity galore, but I mean every map is at least 40% active.Nadda wrote:
