True, I have learned a lot of Geography by playing CoW.

Still... (lol)

It's not much to ask for an Overlay. Toggle on Toggle off

Second, the ability to highlight the names of players and cities so you can copy paste. Some of these names are ridicules and tedious to remember.

A grid adds nothing but confusion.

If you insist on some reference besides Nation / Province / City, go with a request for Lat / Lon.

You might call them GPS coordinates. In the days before GPS, latitude and longitude were how folks referred to locations that were not easily identified by place names.

I would point out that even this does not solve the problem of finding units. Whether you have a place name or lat/lon you will still be looking it up.

The idea of finding units would be better suited with a "Unit Tab" like the "Province Tab" that would allow you to sort your units by type, damage, mission, location, destination, etc. Then you could click on the wandering unit and immediately go to it, just as with provinces.

Finally, the idea that you need a grid system (or lat/lon) in order to communicate locations with allies ignores that after your ally has figured out the letters/numbers you transposed in your note, he still needs to look at the map to figure out what province you were actually talking about.

Better than adding confusion, just learn geography. It is a life skill that will serve you well and possibly lead to an interest in history, politics, economics, science and much more. A grid just gets in the way of all that fun learning...
