Helicopters were only used in around 1943 and after and in VERY VERY limited use, mainly non-combat. And how would they be a stepping stone to missiles?

I think an interesting unit to add would be the helicopter. They would be special by having moderate scouting abilities but they wouldn't need an airfield to take off. I know it might kinda suck but an interesting idea nonetheless in my opinion.

You're right I did more research but the same thing applies to the V1, which is useless. The helicopters would be a cool unit to use for scouting the border without airstrips or airbases.
Even if you did have them for whatever reason, it shouldnβt replace an already existing unit (which is literally just supposed to be a lv 0 rocket, nothing else)
That's true I guess, maybe have it as the next operations limited time unit?
Sure, thatβll grab a buck or two
Every penny counts, probably more useful than whatever the flame tank was.
It would be great to see them...

I agree with the 'limited' ness. Altough could be a secret unit.
Sadly, bytro doesn't care about these, only the money, yes money.

Don't ruin the feeling of a WW2 game with helicopters... I'd rather have cavalry and bicycle infantry first... (and given that I don't want those either, you know where I stand on this)))

I'm not suggesting that we add an attack helicopter or something. If you're concerned with historical accuracy, the Sikorsky R-4 was brought into service in 1943, and soon after other nations began building their own. These were built in the hundreds, not including other craft that followed it's production in the late 40s.
Helicopters were mainly used for paratrooper evacuation, drop in, load em up, get the hell out of there, or for medical use during a battle, get the wounded and get out.
Sounds like we need hospital helicopters

You must bleed⦠in order to purge, rejuvenate, and grow.
That's when helicopters were made larger and more efficient in the Korean War and Vietnam War. Helicopters of the 40s were not as good, but they were used to scout and experiment for new helicopters.Fox-Company wrote:

Making them not require an airfield is silly. What, do they not require fuel?
There was one battle in WW2 which i cannot recall, which involved the use of helicopters to evacuate wounded men from a surrounded position.Commander Schleicher wrote:
