Helicopters

I think an interesting unit to add would be the helicopter. They would be special by having moderate scouting abilities but they wouldn't need an airfield to take off. I know it might kinda suck but an interesting idea nonetheless in my opinion.

Making them not require an airfield is silly. What, do they not require fuel?
Wow you're smart, an airfield is there for planes to take off which they need to be coordinated and equipped at a special station, alsp the runway needs to be ling enough and safe to use. Trucks need fuel, but they don't need airfields. Helicopters don't need expensive runways to operate, all they need is the standard resources delivered to them like other units.

Hm, Im still sceptical about helicopters being added because helicopters didnt really play a major role in WW2. What are the uses of helicopters ? Healing troops, the hospital idea cant be added so well cant be used for healing. Supplying Infantry, for now Infantry didnt need to be supplied because it will complicate the game. And helicopters are not used to attack enemy troops. So now im still confused as to what can make a Helicopter useful in-game.

This sounds so familiar

most useless unit someone can suggest, what exactly they do? scout? Interceptor can do much better job and would have longer range (in conflict of nations attack helicopter had a range of 400 while basic air superiority fighter had 750)

i can say Armored car sight range would be farther than this Helicopter's range (ability to operate without airbase didn't help much either) (camel infantry sounds badass   )

Helicopters also generally operate off of prepared airfields and airports. Being VTOL doesn't eliminate the need for specialist facilities to maintain sensitive equipment.

Ground units have their own complex logistical trail that is often times taken for granted.

Especially early helicopters which like any new technology, were likely prone to failure and malfunction.

I want hospital helicopters. It'd add so much value to the game ;)

I'd prefer barbed wire- or minefield-helicopters.

Damn, flying hospitals are cool. I think a helicopter cant be that huge

The ultimate dream: flame-hospital helicopters

I wanted to make a Gaza remark but I guess I shouldn't go there.

Damn it would be good though..

A little known fact about missiles is they work by strapping helicopter blades on top and spinning them really fast. Rockets are a myth

Helicopters weren't used that often during World War 2, they were only used in, you guessed it, Vietnam, and other conflicts. I don't think this suggestion would work well with the theme of this game, but it would work great if this were a Modern-day game, which there is by the way I can give you the link if you really want helicopters. Here is the link: Conflict of Nations - World War 3 (conflictnations.com) It's made by the same company (I think)

I don't agree with Helicopters but would like to see Level 1 and 2 AT. Art, and AA guns air transportable to support paratroopers

Do that even happen in Vietnam either? I don’t think giant pieces of artillery have ever been dropped with paratroopers so they can fight an enemy lol.

Either way it didn't happen in World War 2
