Historic Generals

Hi and welcome folks! Just again want to thank the people who have taken their time to read my previous posts. I do not know if similar posts have been made with similar ideas, if there has, you can choose to read this again, or close it. Just a little reminder, you are always welcome to leave a comment and like. Without further ado.

I noticed a lot of people brought up gold when it came to medics and morale boosters, so I have come up with a similar idea.

Players should have the option to assign certain units an officer/general. This will change combat for the player because:

1) Generals will be more effective than officers. Ways officers/Generals can affect a unit is by:

-Increased attack

-Increased speed

-Increased morale

-Increased defense.

2) Officers will be a lot more cheaper than generals. I will not list a certain amount a player must pay for an officer/general, as that will be up to discussion. However, the range of money for an officer can range from 75,000-120,000, and some food. The cost for a general would range anywhere above 150000+

3) To make it even better, the officers/generals can be historic, Such as Douglas MacArthur, Georgy Zhukov, Heinz Guderian, Charles De Gaulle, Bernard Montgomery, and others.

4) However, an addition to officers and generals, there will be 3 categories. Air, sea, and land. For example, tank commanders in the real world will be more effective with tanks, than with ships or planes. Any sea commanders will be more effective with any ship type, than a tank or plane.

Notes

1) Officers and generals will give a unit different amounts of ASMD (attack, speed, morale, defense) If Eisenhower was a better commander than Patton, Eisenhower will do more ASMD than Patton would.

But all generals/officers always start on Level 1. The maximum level you can upgrade your general to is 5 (as making the max greater could make a player somewhat OP) But no matter what level Eisenhower or Patton is, Eisenhower will always be effective (optional to make that a thing)

2) For those saying "But again Steel, gold matters." I have something for you. I mentioned costs. Instead of making a player pay that massive amount for an officer or general, you can also give him/her the option to pay for the officer or general via gold.

(Will mention this in point 4) However, making a player pay a massive amount of gold for a general/officer will be completely unfair. A general/officer will not make a unit totally OP. This means that a player has a 75/25 chance of losing their general/officer. Thus, if CoW does implement this, they should make the cost of a general/officer range from 500-950 gold.

3) Not sure if this is a good idea, but we can debate it in the comments section, if those futuristic or alternative maps still exist like the fight on the arctic, players will have the ability to create their own general from level 1. This can cost gold or massive amounts of resources.

4) If a general/officer is lost (meaning he/she was killed in action with their unit) they will not be recoverable. Mentioning being able to pay for these generals/officers with gold, people could consider this a scam. However there is an easy solution to this. Just make them pay 500-950 gold. Not such a bug number like 2250.
