Like countless other CoW players, I love the game and am also a ww2 buff. The later has allowed me to find at least one historical inaccuracy in the Soviet-Faction tech tree.
More Specifically:
Interceptor Lvl 6 is the IL-10.
In reality the IL-10 was an improved variant and direct descendant of the prolific IL-2 Šturmovík series of ground attack planes. And though they were very good for their intended purpose, they were not fighters, though they did have plenty of armour.
-The IL-2, also the most produced military aircraft in history with over 36,000 examples built
There is also an error present in the Western Allied aircraft tree, this one being that the P-51 Mustang is superseded by the F4U Corsair.
Two Things:
I) The F4U was a naval fighter, designed specifically for carrier usage, as opposed to the Mustang, a strictly land-based machine.
An Early-Production F4U Corsair.
II) The F4U was not only introduced earlier, but the P-51 Mustang, at least in its definitive D variant equipped with a British-designed Merlin engine, was superior in almost every respect to the Corsair.
The Mustang in its all-important 'D' variant.
These aren't the only inaccuracies I'm sure,and my knowledge is strongest on the aerial side of things. With all the other history buffs out there I think we could point out the other inaccuracies and help make the game better.

Shows how much you know, that is the IL-2M, not the IL-2. Very different. The M has a rear turret thingy. A waist turret? I don't know what it is called. Anyways, u should fix the picture.
The Democratic Republic of Afghanistan(DRA) was founded in 1978 through a coup d'etat. Certain Muslim factions rebelled against the new government, and per the DRA's request the Soviet army deployed forces to the area. Even now, in 1984, the Soviet's 40th Army and the self-proclaimed "Mujahideen" are still engaged in bitter conflict.

I don't give a damn about the Soviets, but you should send a message to some mod or game operator reporting the Allied issue. Serious one.

OK, I know its an IL-2M, because the IL-2 was indeed a single seat aircraft in early versions.
