Historical event maps should never be start when full.

It feels like I have posted about this in the past, but may not have actually gotten around to it so here it is: When is Bytro going to learn to never hold events that are both historical and start when full. Few people are going to want to start off as a backwards weak country, so no one wants to join in the last handful of slots. Those maps sit there, then most people give up and are total no-shows when the map finally starts. I hate start when full in general, becasue there are way to many ghost joins.

I just looked, there are currently Six 73 player historical event maps available day 1. They are start when full. Each one only has a few places available and have been stuck in limbo for hours. No wonder people just walk away from these games.

Yeah but I like being a small country because if you get 1 ally you can take down a big country easily

Thats great, just dont make it start when full. I dont have a problem with historic, just waiting for the few players like yourself to trickle into those small countries. Perhaps they can make a "starts in a half hour from first join" if not full before then.

They could randomly place the entry

They could randomly place the entryThis map is very out of place.

The only nations that are worth playing are UNITED KINGDOM, GERMANY, USA, JAPAN, USSR, FRANCE;

ANY OTHER NATION YOU CHOOSE WILL BE LONG FOR YEARS.Delayed in research, troops, buildings, victory points, etc.

You can only win with a small nation with a very strong and active ally that can help if the opposite is vapo

Well sometimes it’s fun to make a last stand with a underpowered nation but the fun part of all in is not playing as a large or small nation but communicating with all players around you instead of just killing the AI. Also as a small nation you don’t need to ally with a big nation if you can unite the other small and weak nations around you.

Good point, I think it is better suited for random placement. People join this map and simply dont select a country, further delaying the fill up. Lots of people are waiting on the sidelines for a brand new map to open up. It would be best as random selection.

There are many people playing this game from different places in the world even within the same language server. I do not think that there is a problem with the start when full version however if there were to be a change then I think it should be 24h after first join. How long was the longest you had to wait to start a game? 30m is not a long time at all for this real-time strategy game.

30 mins is probably a good enough time to wait. I usually start a game when I know I will have 45 mins to an hour solidly available to time the first builds, trains, and researches. If I start a game and its start when full, but it doesn't begin until after I go to bed, then I would be pretty sad. 24 hours in limbo and waiting is too unpredictable for me. The main roblem I was saying about it is that people join them, realize they are start when full, and then never come back after waiting a few minutes. Perhaps they find an active game instead.
