Hopes for 2016- the small stuff

Last time I did this, I focused alot on the bigger features of the game. I would now like to focus on the smaller, less interesting stuff:

  1. Operator Growth: The last few months have seen so many well known people become admins and mods, which is great as they're already known in our great community. I would love to see more grow- maybe a 'Royal Admin Corp'- I myself would volunteer for admin, but I don't have a mic so skype would be hard.
  2. Personalization: As with S1914 they have the name, title and flag change. Without droning on and on, I hope one day CoW will be able to figure out a way to copy this. Linking with my above point, if we have more admins able to filter out those who abuse the feature, its likely the infringements would be dealt with swiftly.
  3. City View: One of my favourite features of S1914, and as this game is made the same company, I hope to see that feature one day put in.
  4. Home-page and profile redesign: Right, another S1914 idea (if you've never played S1914, you're missing out. That game got me into Military history- I used to play it in IC class) S1914 allows you gain medals, ribbons and have a more flushed out profile look. You are able to have a profile picture and it displays your rankings for all to see. As things stand, CoW uses the same system as 30kingdoms- and frankly it lets the site down. It makes what is a great RTS, look tacky. Sorry guys, but thats the truth. Image is everything.
  5. Player ranks: This was raised in the forums before, the ranking system the main game uses is pathetic. Honestly. The Forum has a great ranking structure, one which should be copied over. Or, another route could be taken. S1914 uses British WW1 ranks, I believe that this game should use German wehrmacht ranks. Spice things up.
  6. Make your own scenario: now, this idea was put forward by @COL1A1, which got me thinking. We should be able to make our own scenarios and adjust them for player count, unit techs ect. Imagine a two player mode- Kursk 1943? Or Western Europe 1944? Or, a re imagined US civil war! Successful scenarios would be implemented into game. Big shout out to the guy who gave me this idea!
  7. Sigh, Non-Gold games: Because every week someone complains, in order to solve the problem, have an opinion for no Gold use. There. Simple.
  8. Army structure: The issue I find on this games is that we miss out (on group forces) 'corp', 'Army' and 'Army group' when grouping units, the same with the navy as things never become a 'task force' or 'fleet' they remain a flotilla- which is a term for a small amount of ships. I would like this to be changed.

I hope you like many of these idea's, I feel like many of them are simple and would help make CoW more friendly to use and bring it a step above S1914. I'll be doing thee lists every three months or so, maybe as a recap of ideas that have been floating about. I'll try to tag people who posted the idea at first and credit them, as I have done.

Quasi wonders if these would cost gold?

Alls sounds good, otherwise.

I've said it before, somewhere on the Forums (I think), too many games are created before the previously made games have enough players to be ranked. Many players make several games at once (or nearly the same day). Creating a game should be a privilege of rank or achievement or victory or survival.

As for "no Gold" or "Gold limit" games, there should be some income, somewhere, for Bytro. Right now, HC members can make an unlimited number of Gold (to join) games. I'm sure Bytro knows the average Gold spent per game and could use that, in some way, to create a class of games that disables (or omits) the Gold-use buttons in a game. I might make such a game available for a trial period to see how the revenue stream improved (or not).
