These new graphics are hideous! I liked the modern look much better. The moving water, clouds, solid color, shiny surface, etc. was ten billion times better 
. It is IMPOSSIBLE to move the map without glitches and you see no troops when you zoom out I’m going 
because it’s taking three times as long to make my plans happen! On top of it, I can’t switch back to the old modern graphics 
! I highly encourage Bytro Labs to delete these hideous, ugly, and glitched graphics.
I agree, the new graphics interface type is poorly executed on terms of game management and goes without saying, it is the pits to a good strategy map plan.
Edward Hartmann, did you take a look at accessing the settings icon located at the bottom right of the screen. Here is where a menu can expand and at the top 2 or 3 setting, there is an icon that can disable the enhanced graphics mode.
You can switch back and forth between simple and enhanced graphics, and have been able to for nearly 6 months now. Perhaps you switched it accidentally?
Open the menu in the lower right corner and click the "enhanced graphics" button near the top. (mobile is very similar)
If you don't see the enhanced graphics button, there is likely something in your computer that is preventing the enhanced graphics from being possible and making it default to the simple graphics.
First step is always to restart your computer. If it does not show the enhanced graphics button after restarting your computer please go through the steps in this thread, and reply here if you have any issues with that.

I guess there is some confusion. What Edward Hartmann is describing of what he does not like, is actually the old graphics, not the new graphics. The new graphics have the moving water, the clouds, the smooth scrolling), the old ones don't. I guess players who recently registered and who accidentally switched to the old graphics think that they are new graphics.
As Vorlon said, please try turning the enhanced graphics on again in the settings. If this does not work, can you tell us with which device you are playing? Maybe the system determined that your device is not good enough for using the enhanced graphics.
Well, on game #2639056 the new graphics are not going through and are blocked. My other games occasionally reset to the old graphics. This started happening after the last update. The new graphics are much better then.
Ah, Are you using an iPad Edward? I have heard someone else mention this issue with an iPad.
Please tell us about the device you are using? As this issue is unique to only a few combinations of device and software.
