no need to fix, it is not bug. It is feature, wich you can learn to love. It is way more boring, if ai dont attack.
Improve Game Play
I occasionally play this game, keep hoping for improvements each time I give it a try. BTY I have a 12 solo win and 3 coalition wins in 23 total games, so I play to win.
Try a 10 person Blitz 1939 game, was the last player to join and game started immediately. I could immediately tell that most of the players were not active, and on day 2 yes, 6 of 10 players switch to AI. Top that off I learn that one of the players is using 2 accounts (one PC and one Mobile), so really there are only 3 players in this game and one is cheating by using 2 accounts. All features that make this game less fun.
So in the midst of starting a massive strike on the cheater's mobile player, an AI controlled country declares war on me. I am USSR and the AI is Turkey. So I doubt much actual attack would be done by the AI in this condition. The game should better control these AI armies to counter anything that is a threat to them, like in this case, Turkey will be losing its capitol to the Yugo army soon so they are their true enemy. Game #3040178 I will play this one out, but the game designers just took away a PvP game play and inserted yet another battle with the AI units which is quite boring. Fix this.

vast majority of games I see are fighting AI units. so what is the fun in that since they really do not attack effectively, just an annoyance that should be dialed down (don't have the AI declare war if there are other humans still playing that can be attacked).
I honestly love the fact that AI now declare war and I hope they dial it up. Global popularity is a great feature, because now you must trade embargo, and THEN declare war before finally invading instead of surprise attacks. IT makes the problem of people leaving better, since now the replacements are AI that will hopefully act like a real player through invasions. Also, I think that AI invading a bigger country like you probably are is only a small nuisance. I have had to deal with it on multiple occasions, but they are normally not too strong and it is free terrtory.
Question - would you rather fight real humans still left in the game, or deal with the random AI when you have 10 more AI to face in the game. It is a boring diversion that is delaying my invasion of a real person. a waste of my time. And why the hell are no other countries declaring war on the other 3 players left in the game?
Most likely their popularity is higher than yours.TheMaquis wrote:

I had not played for a while. So when I played very aggressively in my previous game in the 39 map over a month ago, I found myself at war with 8 countries- 2 active players and 6 countries enhanced with the new elite AI software. I barely slept for a couple of days- but managed to come out victorious, thanks in part to my two allies.
So, in my current game, I'm a bit more cautious and less aggressive. At this point my popularity is in the mid-forties and spending my time finishing off 2 countries that should rack me up 60 VP's. I'm devoting so many resources to development. I'm number one economy with South Africa. However, it will not be a cake walk. The player with the most VP's is Germany- a veteran player that has over 40 solo wins and nearly as many in coalition. But I had to change strategy to less aggressive, more economic development, and quite choosy in who I attack. And I think that my coalition still has a fair chance to win this game ...
Like Gus mentioned the remaining active player probably have better reputation than you do, causing the AI to be less likely to attack them. By doing things that would be seen as distrustful and dishonorable will cause reputation to drop, like attacking a nation without proper declaration of war etc. You can find your reputation by clicking the flag in the top left corner then clicking the arrows until you see "Global Reputation"
Please report both accounts, as like you said this is cheating and not allowed in games.TheMaquis wrote:

The challenge is being able to do BOTH at the same time. Very boring to have a docile AI that eats out of your hand and lets you focus completely on the active players. The surprise chance of an AI assisting the other active players in taking you on is simply a part of the game that requires the players to be more aware of their surroundings.TheMaquis wrote:

Try playing Sone, or wait for the new CoW 1.5 event.
The AI attack each other in those games.
They only attack human players with low popularity. But in event that a human player drops outs, an elite AI will stay in war with the newly inactive country ...cycle9 wrote:
