I suggest loading itunes in the background

In-game Audio/Music
I think it would be interesting and make the game less boring if their were some time of background music to listen to while commanding and conquering other nations.
also it would make the game a little more detailed if the buttons on the screen made a sound when you clicked on them

Sound effects would be fun, yes. I would like to hear the air raid sirens when a rocket is closing in, or a bomber. 
But music is not a good idea, as not everyone likes the same music, and you can still just open Youtube or whatever and play your favorite music in the background.
