Is Iraq America's New Vietnam?

I heard a pretty good quote, though I can't remember whose it was:

"The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over, and expecting a different result."

Above that quote were maps of Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq.

So, did George W. Bush put America in the position it was in during the late 60's and early 70's?
