"I came, I saw, I conquered" Written in a report to Rome 47 B.C., after conquering Pharnaces at Zela in Asia Minor in just five days; as quoted in Life of Caesar by Plutarch; reported to have been inscribed on one of the decorated wagons in the Pontic triumph, in Lives of the Twelve Caesars, Julius, by Suetonius.
"Alea iacta est" Gaius Julius Caesar.
I hope I can help with the naval bombers:
Savoia-Marchetti SM.79.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Savoia-Marchetti_SM.79
"It became famous and achieved many successes as a torpedo bomber in the Mediterranean theater."
Savoia-Marchetti SM.84.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Savoia-Marchetti_SM.84
CANT Z.506.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CANT_Z.506
"During World War II it was used as a reconnaissance aircraft, bomber and air-sea rescue plane, by the Italian Regia Aeronautica and Regia Marina, Aeronautica Cobelligerante del Sud, Aeronautica Nazionale Repubblicana and the Luftwaffe."
Piaggio P.108A.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piaggio_P.108#P.108A
It was an anti-ship aircraft with a 102 mm (4 in) gun. Variant of the P.108.
Loire-Nieuport LN-401.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loire-Nieuport_LN.401
"The Loire-Nieuport LN.40 family of French naval dive-bombers for the Aeronavale in the late 1930s which saw service during World War II."
I know it's a French bomber but the italian wikipedia lists the Loire-Nieuport LN-401 among the planes used by the Regia Aeronautica as a prize of war:
https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aerei_della_Regia_Aeronautica_nella_seconda_guerra_mondiale.
----------------------------------------------
Then I found the following planes but I don't know if they can be properly considered naval bombers.
Macchi M.18.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macchi_M.18
"The Macchi M.18 was a flying boat produced in Italy in the early 1920s. Originally planned as a passenger aircraft, it entered production as a bomber before eventually being offered on the civil market that it was originally intended for". It was still used in the Spanish civil war.
Junkers Ju 87.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Junkers_Ju_87
The Junkers Ju 87 were also used to hit the enemy ships with precision dive bombing and Italy's Regia Aeronautica received several of these planes.
And finally there is the IMAM Ro.43.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IMAM_Ro.43
"The IMAM Ro.43 was an Italian reconnaissance single float seaplane, serving in the Regia Marina between 1935 and 1943. Although produced in quantity, it proved never to be suitable for its intended role as a spotter plane for warships, and although 105 remained in service when Italy entered World War II, they were already obsolete".
Not exactly a naval bomber, but maybe with a little imagination...
Talking about naval bombers, let me add a couple of planes
CANT Z.501.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CANT_Z.501
Italian wikipedia says that it had similarities with the Consolidated PBY Catalina used by the Americans.
CANT Z.516.
https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/CANT_Z.516
Aeroplane for anti-submarine/anti-ship warfare. Made by the aviation division of the Italian company Cantieri Riuniti dell'Adriatico in the early 40's, it remained at the prototype stage.
CANT Z.1007.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CANT_Z.1007#Armament
CANT Z.1007 could carry both bombs and torpedoes: "The Z.1007 could also carry two 454 mm (17.7 in), 800 kg (1,760 lb) torpedoes slung externally under the belly in an anti-shipping role".
Personally, I'd choose the following planes as naval bombers:
Liv. 1 - CANT Z.501
Liv. 2 - CANT Z.506
Liv. 3 - Savoia-Marchetti S.M.79
Liv. 4 - CANT Z.516
Liv. 5 - Savoia-Marchetti S.M.84
Liv. 6 - Piaggio P.108A
Otherwise:
Liv. 1 - CANT Z.506
Liv. 2 - Savoia-Marchetti S.M.79
Liv. 3 - CANT Z.516
Liv. 4 - Savoia-Marchetti S.M.84
Liv. 5 - CANT Z.1007
Liv. 6 - Piaggio P.108A
@PetrusFons and I did some little research about the italian navy and we have some suggestions about the aircraft carriers.
Bolzano.
https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bolzano_(incrociatore)
http://www.aviazione-italiana.it/Aviazione%20Navale%203b.html
The Bolzano was a heavy cruiser of the Regia Marina, used during WW2. It was torpedoed and badly damaged on August 13,1942. On the construction sites in La Spezia the Italians began to repair it and to turn it into an aircraft carrier. It was sunk on June, 22 1944 by a british attack.
Europa.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italian_seaplane_carrier_Europa
Elba.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italian_cruiser_Elba
Elba was a protected cruiser of the Italian Regia Marina; In 1914, it was converted into the first seaplane tender of the Regia Marina.
Anyway my research tree would be the following one:
Liv. 1 - Europa
Liv. 2 - Elba
Liv. 3 - Giuseppe Miraglia
Liv. 4 - Bolzano
Liv. 5 - Sparviero
Liv. 6 - Aquila
Talking about the battleships, I'd add the following ships:
Regina Elena-class.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regina_Elena-class_battleship
Dante Alighieri.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italian_battleship_Dante_Alighieri
My research tree would be the following one:
Liv. 1 - Regina Elena class
Liv. 2 - Dante Alighieri
Liv. 3 - Conte di Cavour class
Liv. 4 - Andrea Doria class
Liv. 5 - Francesco Caracciolo class
Liv. 6 - Littorio class
I think that the only "indigenous" option here is the P.43bis heavy tank.Pablo22510 wrote:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P43_tank#The_two_P43_bis
http://digilander.libero.it/historiamilitaria4/panther%20re.htm (here you can find a different picture of the P.43 tank, by the way.)
"To increase security and mobility, Ansaldo and Fiat placed the study on P.43 tank (derived directly from P.40 with more armor on the front and a new tower), and P.43 bis, armed with a 90/42 mm gun. The events of July 25, 1943 and then the september armistice stopped the projects".
"In competition with the german Panther tank, the Italians were studying further projects and developments of the P40 tank; in addition to the P.43 tank we can briefly mention also the powerful P43 bis armed with a 90/42 mm gun (or some say 105mm), judged by someone superior to the Panther on paper".
I like the P.43bis part. I think I'll add it as the last heavy tank to the tree.
Thanks. What do you think about the other suggestions?Pablo22510 wrote:

I think I don't really understand them. Please tell me what you would like me to do with the Italian Heavy Tank Tree. How should I change it?Marat666 wrote:

I think the heavy tank tree is Ok!Pablo22510 wrote:

I was talking about my suggestions about naval bombers, aircraft carriers and battleships
What do you mean when you say that you don't understand them? You don't think they're proper naval bombers, battleships and aircraft carriers?
LOOOOOOL I only saw your last post. I must have missed like tonnes that I hadn't seen before. Give me 5 mins and the tech tree will have changed.
Ahaha don't worry! i did some confusion writing down my suggestions: for every unit at first I wrote the suggestions in a casual order, with links and some notes; them I wrote a final post for each of them, to make some order.Pablo22510 wrote:

I hope my english is good enough.
By the way I have suggestions about nuclear subs and nuclear battleships too, but they were just projects made by the italian navy that never materialized. So i don't know if they can be Ok for the thread.

- Your English is extremely good. Anyway, I'm not a good judge, as I'm Spanish.
- Updated the tree to include naval bombers and more battlehips. Many thanks, @Marat666.
- Whatever suggestions you may have are definitely better than just inventing a new kind of ship.
CVs included.

The problem with this sub is that - as I said - it was just a project. The italian navy actually started building it, but the works were never finished because the italians needed american collaboration and support and the USA refused to help their ally (I think there was an american law prohibiting the transfer abroad of nuclear knowledge and technology that can be used for military purposes; in addiction the americans feared that their tecnology could finish in soviet hands).
Italian wikipedia says: "In July 1959, the Minister of Defence Giulio Andreotti announced government approval for the S-521 project "Guglielmo Marconi", a nuclear attack submarine (SSN). In July 1963 the United States refused to satisfy the Italian requests to provide uranium and technical assistance to implement the nuclear submarine Guglielmo Marconi".
Here's the link to an article in english where you can find some pictures of the model (is it a problem if pictures of the real sub don't exist?)
http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/europe/its-marconi.htm
The only picture of the "real" submarine is the following one (well, at least it's a picture of a little piece of it
)
Spoiler

Projects are better than nothng. Thanks.
Updated.
Nuclear battleship: Enrico Fermi
Article in english: http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/europe/its-fermi.htm
The Enrico Fermi was planned to be a "logistic support ship", so I don't know if it can be considered a real battleship.
EDIT: I found nothing about the rockets yet. @PetrusFons thinks that we can use the german ones.
