You have to adjust your unit choices and play style to the terrain. Regions can be more or less friendly to air power, especially early in the game. Same for armor, infantry, field guns, etc. For example, need to fight in the Ricky Mountains? Don't build tanks and then complain they're too slow. Build artillery. Need to cross the Sahara? Build motorized units.

As stated above its to give people different play styles its like playing as tibet since its mainly mountains you just need to focus on artys , AT guns and infantry with airpower
