Personally, I think that Japan should start with Korea annexed, like how German Empire has Austria and Czechia annexed. and also they should add more material provinces in there, it probably might not help too too much, but it would be better then just cities producing materials as non cores.

Koreans were not core Japanese and were not treated as such, instead they were slaves who had their resources robbed and women raped. There was some cooperation but not much different than Ukrainian Nazis; a small minority. Korea did not have to many resources anyway and Japan is already technically too strong as it is.

Obviously, I request this because Korea was formally annexed in 1910, do you think the Czechs were treated so nicely after undergoing german control? But Czechia is annexed into germany, and germany is still ridiculously OP. I suggest this bc one, it'll make it more realistic, and 2, if you think Japan is strong, the USSR literally has more cores than the USA has provinces, and even though Korea doesn't have many resources, those Core cities would still be useful

Czechia is one city, and at least the region had some population of Germans. Czech factories and equipment was used by the Germans throughout the war. Germans such as those in the Sudetenland were drafted and fought for Germany in the war. There’s at least some precedent. Japan just used Korea as a resource colony and not much else. Even then, Korea wasn’t THAT wealthy in resources to deserve core status. Japan had several times less steel production and military capacity than the U.S., and technically had less resources then China, as shown in game. Japan is heavily overestimated for what their army managed to do against the Chinese (led by incompetent leaders like Chang Kai Shek, and even then the Chinese managed to put up strong resistance despite their useless government), and a bunch of under defended colonies. The USSR is also almost twice the size of the USA and historically had a larger population. That only makes sense.

Look, all I'm saying is that Korea should be annexed within Japan bc it's historically accurate, what happened during the period, happened, but this is a GAME, I know Koreans were heavily repressed in Japanese control and I don't support it, but I am just simply requesting for Korea to be cores of Japan. I know it's not supposed to be 100% realisitic but it wouldn't hurt to make this minor difference, I mean, most of the Manpower the USSR produces is from Siberia,(I've not lost siberia before so I could be wrong) but Siberia is way less populated than the Ukraine, Belarus, and west Russian regions. It's a suggestion for a somewhat improvement of a gamemode, not me saying "I want koreans to be core japanese and be killed and raped by the japanese in this browser map game"

Just because it’s not core doesn’t mean it wasn’t annexed. As long as you can build stuff and units in the city, it might as well count as annexed, rather than occupied. BTW from what I can tell, the USSR has smaller (and therefore more) provinces and far more cities in its populated regions, so that realistically checks out. Here’s the thing: it wouldn’t make sense. Japan already has far more resources and manpower than it proportionately had, especially oil. Japan is already very powerful as is, with more core cities than the UK or France (and therefore more resources, even though Japan doesn’t have any oil, few rare materials, and had poor quality steel) and an army that can easily dominate most of Asia. It doesn’t need Korea to be viable, and it certainly doesn’t make the game more realistic. What does the game itself exactly gain from this…? How does it improve the balance any more? It just… doesn’t add anything.

It's just a small detail, if it's so insignificant then it wouldn't be a big deal if it were core, I am not demanding it and stating i'll bomb a building, I am suggesting that it would be cool if it were core, HWW is not supposed to be equally balanced, it's the balancing at the time period, I don't get why you are making this much of a debate with me about a simple suggestion in a map game, and if Korea is gonna be such an "OP" thing as japan's cores, then they can remove/ adjust some things on the home islands, this is a forum for suggestions no or the section for suggestions? Not a forum section to debate on something as silly as this. I understand Japan is strong, but so is Germany, so is the UK, as stated before, making Korea cores could make the game mode at least somewhat more historically accurate, and if Korea is cored, then, as I said earlier, they can adjust things. Either way Bytro probably doesn't even look at the forums so this suggestion is for nothing pretty much, so no use debating on something that won't be added either way.

What? The whole point of this section is to debate these suggestions. You’re on a forum for a map game, so forum stuff is gonna take place. Thing is that Japan was honestly weaker than it currently is, Korea would not be historically accurate in anyway way. It just wouldn’t. Stroessner put it well.

Then Idk what "core territory" is considered then in this game, bc I am considering it ANNEXED territory, not literally CORE land, Germany never fully annexed Czechia, (Other than the Sudetenland) but Prague and that small region is core of Germany. I haven't been on the forum long obviously, but this section I believe is for SUGGESTIONS/Criticism, which I understand pointing out flaws game wise like with coding or whatever, but bringing history and pretty much saying Korea shouldn't be cored to Japan because of the things happened to Koreans etc is irrelevant, your argument about Japan being strong is valid, but there are many things that could counter that and i do know this is a history game, but it's history focused on the world map and army aspect of it. Dude, what do you think the forum is for? You can’t just mindlessly suggest something and not expect criticism. You have the write to suggest things here, and we have the right to disagree with you. And I’ll tell you that no, core lands are lands that are better considered essential parts of the nation, with people there contributing their resources and manpower to the war effort. Non-core lands and peoples don’t fully consider themselves part of the conquering nation, so not as many of them will contribute. I agree that Prague and most of Czechia makes no sense under this definition, but Czechia did contribute to the war effort with their factories, German population and military equipment being used in the war. Korea had resources stolen and some small level cooperation, but that’s it. Nothing more. That’s why it makes no sense to label it a core, essential part of Japan. There is 0 precedent for such a thing. Game and balance wise, it’s also unnecessary as we can both agree.
Either way, it doesn’t matter if you have the right to suggest it or it will never be implemented and such. The whole point of these forums are to have long form conversations about the game, which we have the freedom and right to do as well…
