Liberating Countries

Scenario:

France wishes to remain neutral, Italy does not agree. Italy invades. Spain helps France push Italy back, and then has the option to keep or 'liberate' the city for France, effectively returning it to France.

This should also be an option for AI countries such as Switzerland.

Thoughts?

Yes it is, but you can't trade with AI countries. I'd like to see some sort of implementation to bring back destroyed AI countries.

Usually AI only attack a player that attacked them but you have a point

There is no point in giving an AI a province and no one is going to invade someone else because they attacked an AI. Don't say it would be good for RP either, the devs are probably never going to add something to make RP a little better, especially since most RP games prohibit the use of GM.

Mess with the Bill, you get the scorn!

The province trade is limited to 4 a game once a day so you can't really liberate a country using trade, with this in mind the only way to fully liberate a country is to conduct a friendly war

You have a trend of very negative feeling posts on this forum, it kind of makes people feel like not posting to help improve the game.

That being said, AI countries can be very beneficial as a buffer zone. Liberation can also benefit your ally, without dealing with the trade restriction. A simple toggle in the creation menu could turn liberation on/off.

Go back through all the threads, I have supported quite a lot. The problem is not my "negativity", it is the insane amount of bad ideas and re-posts of those bad ideas. Once again, this idea is just not a good one.

invaded contries can revolt and come back also colonies (like Egypte-Algeria-Lybia...) can revolt and became independent IA

A nation invaded cannot go back to its original state, if France is defeated and revolted it will turn Spanish, or German, or Italian, but never go back to France, AI can never go back to AI nations once defeated, I'm sorry but are you guys new? It's like you guys don't know this mechanic.

They are quite new.

That's what I thought, well now you guys know, in fact I made a thread about resistance like the "French resistance" of WW2 as a suggestion, it's the closest idea we have to liberating countries, go search it.

For now we can liberate player countries like what I already mentioned.

To be fair, the game itself is quite new..and that's also not how to treat 'new' players if the devs want new players to stick around for lengthy periods of time.

were not treating you guys badly, were "indoctrinating" you guys how things work here, your new that's fine, take your time to learn the game, my only problem is there is so many trying to push their ideas even though its maybe illogical or something other than feasible for the game, but that's for me

"This" idea is not bad, but not great, the game is to dominate the map to win not make friends in game, it just perpetuate the game

We sure have. There has been at least 5 set up ones and countless ones where it is open to anyone.

Yeah, I've been seeing more and more up on the New Games list. Granted, not everybody follows them, but I've been in quite a few interesting ones

lol i think that this idea has a few flaws but can be polished up by devs if they choose to make it active other wise save up your gold and just but 5,000 oil for 700 gold (rip off) ;)
