I think there should be limitations in using gold-instant-sabotages, gold-repairs and speed-ups.
Of course, it's nice for the game owners to get real money, but when some players abuse using gold, there is no fun at all in this game. It should be a strategic game, not a "who is richer?" statement.
I think there is an easy option:
1. add a settable game rule: some gold limit to be spent per day by one player and against one player
or a little complicated:
2. limit the number of allowed sabotages per city per hour and/or day, number of repairs and speed-ups per hour/day
Thanks,

This has been suggested and discussed in other threads.

I am sorry, but this cannot be done. Gold is what keeps this game free for everybody wishing to play for free.

Can we just ban all threads which mention capping gold/ removing gold?
Gold is useful, if you wish to waste £30 on gold stuff, go for it. It's fine, the majority of people are F2P anyway.

Officially, it is against the rules. This is a warning to him.

Greetings,
I see that people are probably very tired of discussing gold usage in games, but I have an idea that I think Bytro Labs may find acceptable. For those people that have gold in their accounts, allow only 5,000 of that, or some similar small number, to be used in any game they enter. Folks could use it without restriction as they do today. Since purchasing gold is so cheap, and people would not want others to have an advantage over them, most likely lots more players would purchase and use gold. This seems like a win-win for Bytro Labs.
It seems to me that people play Call of War for its strategic and mostly realistic concepts. At least that is why I like it. I think more people would stick with it, and purchase gold since it is so inexpensive, and have a realistic chance at winning any given game.
Here is what I don't like and why I am writing this post. In a current game, I put a destroyer in the Suez canal which bordered my Egypt and and someone elses Saudi Arabia. Persia was an ally of Saudia Arabia. On day 16, Persia spent lots of gold and put 60 interceptors over my provinces as a show of force and to keep me from doing anything more aggressive. I defended by spending 1,000,000 in gold over the next two days to put anti aircraft and other units in play and to upgrade resource production. Eventually Persia moved on and was later conquered by someone else that has spent tons more gold and now has approximately 1/4 of the total victory points in a 100 country war, and we are only on day 27. So it is disheartening to spend 1,000,000 in gold in a game that I have no chance at winning. Of course I can purchase more but I will not.
Henceforth I will merely play games and when people do that again, I will continue to do my best or simply leave since there is no sense continuing the fight. Allowing people to use vast amounts of gold takes all the strategy away from the game and perhaps loses people that would likely bring in more revenue.
