This suggests the addition of a passive Logistic and Supply tech in every branch (air, land, navy) that can be researched.
The research of such tech improves the countries logistic and supply capabilities such that it its damaged armies recover faster, the tech will need to have a long research time so that this addition would be interesting as you will face a decision of whether to research new units/upgrade units level or improving maintenance of existing units.
This idea was sparked due to the fact that logistics and supply are a crucial component of war ,nearly as important as building new units or improving them, as well as the fact that countries did not and should not have the same HP recovery rates
Do you think this would be a good addition or are you content with all countries having same HP recovery rates of their units?

the idea of recovering your units faster is a good idea and i like it, but the prospect of researching it is a problem. you either recover your units faster, or upgrade new units.
let me rephrase it for better understanding you recover your "outdated" units faster, than research more "modern" units.
getting left behind in terms of technology is the problem of this idea, its Quality versus Quantity and this idea favors Quantity.
i like the idea but not the researching part, i have a destroyer that's sitting for days just to recover and this logistic idea can really help, but why save a destroyer if you have a cruiser or a battleship? heck nukes.

Ofcourse , that is why i think it would be a good addition, it includes oppurtinity cost and hence variation in strategy
Example : You and your opponent both have researched and built destroyers
If you research Navy Supply/Logistics tech while he researchs BB then
-You gain short term advantage as your destroyers heals faster
- He gains long term advantage as he will have a BB sooner than you
Same goes for tanks , will you want to repair your light tanks more quicky than your enemy does and so gain short term advantage or will you want to get to medium tanks faster
But I think going for the 'modern' unit is not always the best thing to do since your enemy might utilize the short term advantage - being able to heal units more quickly - to its best such that the battle will be over long before the modern unit is built. Similiarily , healing tech might not always be the best especially if you failed to capitalize on your advantage.

I like the idea. You use it to your advantage by essentially crippling your country because all you do is capture AI's, upgrade your cities to super-industrialised areas while researching as much as possible. With this, you can remain powerful and be about 5% more researched than your enemies.
You can now safely research better supply lines as you can maintain a technological lead.

If I was to be in this situation I would use one of my research slots for logistics and the other to research moden units, however I may lag behind because I don't have the variety of modern units my opponent might
