You can first produce a lot of low level units and then upgrade them afterwards.

Some generals, especially using the Allies doctrine, want ultra-fast production. As a result, can there be a function to produce lower levelled units if we want to pursue quantity as our main goal?

I don't like low level units for many reasons, their power upgrade is usually more than upgrade cost, they starve your economy as higher level units are stronger but have the same upkeep, they are even slow and if you care about your K
ratio, better not do that. Late game large stack are common, and since only 10 are reflected in a battle low level units have a disadvantage.
Actually if you upgrade your troops you don't produce new ones. This means that by upgrading you will have less upkeep. If you upgrade your units on the front your stack will have more damage output. It's like receiving an instant reinforcement that doesn't cost upkeep. Upgrading your unit only costs 50% of it's original price. Doctrines like allies get a 25% reduction.
I understand. One time, I wanted to make a lower level unit (ex- infantry lvl 1) because 1 anti air was coming to take my city. But I had already researched Infantr lvl 3.TheWorldPartite wrote:
